Leon Bailey | Redcafe says no

Correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought he was a touchline type winger

Unless it's a short term right wing-back option I don't get this? We do need more attacking output from our wing-backs. He couldn't be used as one of the attacking three for Amorin's system, in my opinion.

Villa fans look desperate for us to sign him. Can't imagine that's a good sign.

Or is that just another one of these bizarre PSR swap deals that just go over my head?

Scored 10 in 35 for Villa last year but yeah he is incredibly frustrating. Can't imagine him as anything other than a back up.

Villa are signing Asensio and Rashford so I can see this happening now..

Let's just hope he can rediscover his form from last year if we are serious..

I’m Jamaican and while I’m always hopeful that our Boyz play at the highest level possible, this is a definite no for me. I don’t think he’ll ever be that good for where we want to be. Also, he’s frustrating as hell despite the technical skills here and there.

Add to that, his agent and father is an egotistical prick! He’s already sounding out to the media that Bailey will be after a big move in the summer.

We could do so much better imo.

Bailey, Tel and Nkunku.

If I were a United fan I wouldn't be getting excited about any of them. I think Nkunku would be the most productive, as long as he gets some service, which is debatable as Hojlund doesn't get a lot either.

The other two are very underwhelming. I don't think I'd even take much notice if Palace, Leipzig or Celtic bought the pair of them, it'd seem about the right level for them.

United need to be bringing in some real top level quality, all 3 of those players seem like stop gaps and it's rare that ever works. They're squad rotation level, and I think United need some nailed down first teamers, not bench warmers.

weighing fc

is that before or after interest and monitoring?
I find it a little strange that we keep reading that we're monitoring players but not advancing yet. The window shuts in 48 hours. When exactly are they planning to advance on one?

If we run out of time and don't get documents done in time with one of these players, I will not be shocked.

I wouldn’t put Tel in that category. I think he’s an exciting young player and another one just like Garnacho who’ll get the fans of their seats at OT. We need them sort of players who aren’t afraid to take people on.

It’s annoying that the same sources are reporting the same rubbish all day but just wording it differently.

Villa fans are so happy that with Malen signing he would be relegated to the bench, why in the blue feck are we in for him?

Proper West Ham esque target this

What's the point of offloading our frustrating and inconsistent bench warmer to Villa if we in return let them offload their even more frustrating and inconsistent bench warmer to us?

THIS. Spot on. Some would argue our frustrating and inconsistent bench warmer is actually more talented. Not that it matters, but bad for worse? Thank you, no
