It's always for my dissertation but i'm sur u will answer my question on here or if u want u can email me (my addy is on my profile).... i wanted to know who's ur fav player, manager, ect in manchester and of course why.... not just because it's a good player.. have a bit of imagination plz... ;)

Fav.Players - Robbo - RolsRoyse engine, fantastic skipper and a true leader of the team in the 80s. Never forget the way he came back from injuries and play with injuries for both utd and england. Wore his heart on his sleave. Totally dedicated to club and country. Not many players like him today (nearest is Keane). Ulimate hero and always will be. Total insperation for me in school playground.

Sparky - Gutsy, inteligent and amazing amazing volleys, scissors kicks, pile drivers.......played like a fan from the terraces!

Eric - The King - Cool, calm, firey, arrogant (in the nicest possible way), Insperational, magical......I could go on. The man is a living legend. Long live the king!

Keano - Keano - Keano - He's the glue to our fantastic team at the moment.

Giggsy - Dazzling, breath taking runs and finishing. Shame he's welsh!

Fergie - Stubborn but a winner!

I could go on Steph..... :)

Thanks for ur reply sydius.. i ca,t believe someone answers..lol.. wel someone else now???

....Well, as usual you can get some answers out of me :) (BTW: When does this dissertation have to be handed in?? - You seem like you've got a lot of time for it!!)....

My fav.-player: Hard to pick as we have/have had a lot of players with so different qualities... but my two who just tops the others must be...

Schmeichel - Reason... Well... C'mon... I'm danish and he won Euro1992 for us ;) - Besides that he was the one to open my mind for United :D - You won't get a more inspirational (sp?) and influenive (sp?) player (well... in his time for United! :p ) )

Giggs - Reason: When he plays up to his best, there's only a very few players world-wide who'll be able to hold him back (remember those 4 or 5 Arse-players in 99 who wasn't able to?? :D )

Fav.-manager: Fergie... As he's the reason why we are where we are today... but well... I haven't experienced any other manager at the club, so...

Keane is the greatest player to wear the red jersey in the last 20 years without exception.

Can I just add to this thread (as an older git !)
and having seen many of the games greatest players in the flesh that George Best is the greatest exponent of the game that ever lived .

In the modern era of fitness - mid 60's and onwards ( or ten double vodkas for George!!) ;) ;)

He IMO was THE one.

God knows what would have happened had he been playing for a a very good national side at say ....two world cups .

A phenomenal player by any known standards.

Robbo..Keane...Mcgrath....
But it was a real shame about Norman!
He is the should have been one of the greats.
Every team needs a strong spine, the middle of the park is where the game is won, it's a game of two halves.....
F__k I sould like an expert comments man
:o

fave player Shaun Goater, legend. Sublime footballing ability that lad and fit with it, always looks cool whatever he's doing.

Fave manager, has to be Keegan, he's going to get us into the Champions League this season. He should be knighted.

Robbo- awesome midfielder; unrivalled ball-winning
and tackling abilities. also because he
was a great leader. and when he's on the
pitch, it's like the team was invincible.
Mr. MVP. how many times have we
heard people say "come on robbo win it for
us!"

Keano - "the heart and soul of Man Utd"...and all
that type of stuff

Giggsy - ah! there are no words..... :)

This man will be in the history books alongside Pelé, Maradona , George Best, Bobby Charlton...

He was the spark that United needed to bring back the English Premiership title after an absence of 26 years!! These were very long 26 years, especially so since our fierce rivals Liverpool were dominating the scene both domestically and in Europe. It also started United's almost complete dominance in the 90's. Need i say more...

Martin Buchan. A great player and captain in a poor team. His positional sense, reading of the game, tackling and heading were outstanding. We could sorely do with him now.

90's Eric = red with an attitude
80's Robbo = gave everything for the club
70's Pancho = as above

I`m not so old to mention Best .
But for 90`s I prefer Keano to Cantona
though they both deserve it .

:p
