<strong>DACOURT EXIT MOVES CLOSER
by Graham Walker
OLIVIER Dacourt's proposed move to Roma could be concluded before the end of the week, with the Italian side keen for him to play at the weekend.
Dacourt agreed terms with the Serie A side last Friday, and is now waiting for Roma and Leeds United to agree a fee that would most likely allow the 27-year-old French midfielder to move to the Olympic Stadium on loan with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
Capped by France for the first time during his time at Elland Road, Dacourt has made it clear that he sees his future away from Elland Road, and following a public falling out with manager Terry Venables after making inappropriate comments in a French magazine, he was unlikely to play for Venables again.
The Italians must now reach an agreement with Leeds and with director Franco Baldini on his way to Elland Road to finalise the details, Fabio Capello expects Dacourt to play in next weekend's clash with Chievo.
Capello said: "He's a player that I have always liked, and his style will allow him to quickly fit into the Italian league.
"I would like to have him in the side for our match next Sunday."</strong><hr></blockquote>
