Leeds Festival '09

How are Maximo Park above Ian Brown ??

They haven't done anything of note in about 3 years.

Shit festivals anyway, on reason i would bother going is for the lock up tent on a saturday/sunday.

Deftones are good live, Prodigy aren't as good now
the rest i'm not interested in, maybe Eagles of Death Metal

I'm definitely looking forward to Eagles of Death Metal, quality band. I'm hoping the rest of the lineup is good because its not looking like anything special at the moment.

Lock Up tent will be decent as always if you're into the genre's in there.

I've got my weeknd ticket anyway, it's not all about the music

Tried but failed :(

Ne'er mind. seeing Eodm soon

That tangy soup aftertaste

I'm going!

Got my ticket last night, only took about an hour of refreshing my computer!

That's Glasto and Leeds sorted for this year - might try and sneak another one in between maybe!

you are right Utd Heap, it's not all about the music - best atmosphere at festivals!

Thats bad craic they're charging more. They should be charging less & by that I mean the performers should be demanding less, so the discount can be passed onto the festival-goer!

Festivals are wicked, the atmosphere & craic are equally as important as the music. Best of all worlds really :D

Electric Picnic here in Ireland is one of the best festivals i've been to. Very few arseholes, in fact i can think of any i met last year. Great buzz & everyone is only interested in having a great time & enjoying everything the festival brings. I shall be goin this year aswell

Where is the "Rock day"?

Rage were awesome last year.

The announcer in an interview this morning said the NME headliners are two major rock acts, one being welsh.
Likely to be Lost Prophets.

Lock Up also hasn't been announced yet, and that's punk/ska/alternatives stuff awell. So if you want heavier stuff it will be there.

They've scrapped the rock day on the main stage.

You going?

It will be the Manics. They have a new song out.

So chuffed for The Computers for getting on the bill, they're friends of mine and they rule

They worth seeing? I was probably going to go to Polar Bear Club anyway so I might roll out of bed earlier if they're decent.

i never go to festivals prefer going to a normal gig, but im looking foward to seeing arctic monkeys headline with their new stuff, and radiohead and bloc party on TV

Yeah im going. Live about 10 minutes from the site, so tend to go most years.

Thought the headliners were shit, but the line up is looking decent now!

I'll be going to Cartmel races instead. Radiohead, Deftones and Arctic Monkeys apart it's an uninspiring line-up.

Will probably go to the Radiohead day at Reading I guess.
