Shane Meadows new movie. Out this Friday I believe at selected cinemas and followed up soon after with a dvd release.

It's a comedy where everyone plays themselves except Paddy Consadine who plays the titular roadie trying to make a name for himself and his rapping prodigy from Nottingham 'Scor-zay-zee'.

Apparently filmed in 5 days and was meant as a stop gap project until Meadows starts work on 'King of the Gypsies'.



Footage of Consadine rapping at an Arctic Monkeys gig a while back. I assume it shows up at some point in the film....

Cool, Paddy Consadine is a great actor. Doesnt get half the credit he deserves.

Dead Man Shoes is a modern day classic imo

Consadine is a fantastic actor...& Scor Zay Zee is a real, and actually very good rapper, presumably playing a comedy version of himself cos he doesn't dress like that!..He used to be in a crew called OutDaVille

Just watched this...was a bit hit and miss but Consadine was fantastic and it was chuckle worthy. Anyone else seen it?

Yip, I enjoyed it. Short and sweet.

Couldn't ask for much more considering that it was pretty much improv'd over a week. It was certainly funnier than that 'Other Guys' shit I watched at the weekend.
