Nik(@Rood) and Jamie(@Vault Dweller) are joined by United Hour podcast debutante Gary(@GaryLifo) to discuss United's last-gasp victory over Leicester in the FA Cup. Please welcome Gary to the pod and tell us how he did!

PS - please forgive my Transfer Muppet rant. I couldn't help myself.

Haha well I thought you were good mate and was good hearing your points too. And nice to finally have a proper chat after a few years of there just being comments on here. Solid debut!

Thanks - for me it was a little surreal because I've listened to the pod on my way to work for a few years now and so yours and Nik's voices are so familiar to me it's like we'd already met before :D

Nice debut @GaryLifo.

Regarding the transfer window, obviously it wasn't great but ultimately I'm not really disappointed. We just haven't got the money. Getting players out on loan released some funds in wages but it didn't just create a transfer fund out of nothing. Our options were always limited to loans and those options are rarely great.

Well we know we had some budget for a loan deal at least because they tried for Tel - at this point even the likes of Ighalo or Weghorst would improve us and still give us a fighting chance in the cups at least

Of course we had some budget for a loan. But to say that even the likes of Weghorst would have improved us and give us a better chance... That's really clutching at straws and bringing someone in just for the sake of it.

There's also the question of what sort of striker Amorim wanted and if he would have taken a striker that doesn't fit his mould just so he'll have another player.

Apologies for delay of new episode - Ive been away for half term and was hoping the podcast squad players would step up for first team action but, just like United, they failed me miserably!

Hoping to record tomorrow to cover the last few matches
