Laptops/Notebooks

Is there a difference between these 2 other than size or are notebooks really limited meant for word processing and browsing?

Basically i need a lap top but would rather have a notebook because of their size. All i need it to be able to do is browse the internet and run Football Manager.

You won't run FM well on a netbook, that's a certainty. Notebooks do though, but because they're smaller and lighter they obviously cost more to buy.
