Langer retires

Langer isn't as irreplacable as Warne or McGrath but still sad to see him go.

?
Hayden
Ponting
Hussey
M.Clarke
Symonds
Gilchrist
Watson
Lee
S.Clarke
McGill

That's the team I can see will be fielded after the Ashes in other test matches ... but who will be "?"

Plays for NSW in our domestic competition, does very well there and has done alright for Australia but a tad inconsistent.

There may be others but he is the big name floating round the media here.

Retiring on the top his game.
Jaques is a very good player. Clarke would be a decent opener also.

Yippiee
Another one from the fecking golden generation bites the dust.

Damn it...wanted a full strength Aussie side when we go there later, not a damn transitional one.

You lot have your excuse already.;)

Hayden should be next to go, bleeding flat track bully. He will hang on as he lacks the humility to retire.

He did a great job captaining the European team in 2004. His 1985 Masters win has to go down as one of the best at Augusta ever.

Haydos is a dead set legend - a top bloke and a fecking proud aussie - he wont retire at the moment cause he`s still got a lot to offer
