For those not familiar, the Lancashire Senior Cup is contested by the United Reserve/U21 team.

This is the first game for us in this year's competition.

Odd no Powell, wonder if he'll be involved this weekend (but would be surprised!)
 
No Henriquez either. Maybe there's movement on the loan front for the pair of them.
 
Sounds like Paddy's swapped his usual pre-game pints for a doobie today.
 
Bebe is doing decently this game, but in all honesty don't get why he is still at this club.

Reckon we need to find him a decent club to go too. Despite all the jokes and what not about him reckon he can still make it at a lower club or a lower level league and be decent.
 
What do posters think of Marnick Vermijl? I'm impressed with him almost every time he plays, and he didn't look too bad in his first team cameos - although just a little nervous. Does he have a future with us?
 
Not the most entertaining of games so far.

Hopefully Januzaj comes on second half.

I rate him on the right. Could have a future here as Rafael's back-up, who knows.

Yes, I also like him. Always doing a good job both in defense and going forward. Looked okay in the first team.

I also like Vermijl, though he looks like a strong breeze would knock him over. Yet he seems to have a sharp football mind and makes the most of his average physical gifts.

Of course I would bet against any reserve or youth player having a future with us, but you never know.

I think he can certainly be better than Obertan, so he could well end up playing with a decent team like Newcastle.
 
So we win 1-0, first half better than the second. Bebe did well in first half. Petrucci good again.

Not sure I agree with this part. He's certainly blessed with his fair share of pace and balance. He used to be skinny and a bit on the weak side but I don't think that's a problem anymore.
