Kyle Walker

I reckon man city have been in his ear. They need full backs.

I think if he leaves it will be to City.

Article says he fell out with manager because of lack of trust on his fitness or something like that, also says he can earn double than what he is on now. So it makes sense from player point of view.

Think he's City bound. I remember we were linked a few seasons back and people lost their shit on here. I really rate him.

There could be some truth in this - I like Walker a lot and he has improved in the past few years but his end product is still not as good as it could be. He is a superb athlete and the defensive side of his game is good. I'd be sorry to see him leave, especially to a domestic rival however he is one player I think we could improve on and with Trippier we have an able back-up.

He'll move to city for sure if he does go.

On the Spurs forums there has been some info and feeling that he will go in the summer. He doesn't like being rotated in the bigger games, which considering he signed a new contract a few months ago seems strange.

I like Kyle but he's a better athelete than he is a footballer. He's insanely fast and powerful but his end product and descision making is still no better than a average. He improved a lot in his last 2 seasons but Poch's system down to the ground. Us Spurs fans have been increadably patient and forgiving of his brain farts which he has a few. If he moves for a few of around £40M I doubt other fans would Ben so forgiving.

Having said that I'd rather keep him but if he wants to go and we get silly money, which we will, il wish him the best.

I can't see us spending so much on a position that isn't vital to us this summer. City need him a lot more than we do.

If he is sold within the PL I'm expecting a quite ridiculous fee. Don't see this happening though unless City actually is willing to spend 50+ million and he does in fact want to leave.

One for the best rightbacks in the world, alongside Carvajal and Valencia. We can do worse - especially when a huge part of our English contingent are constantly disappointing Mourinho.

He did look out of his depth in the champions league especially against Leverkusen.

He's a decent player but nothing really special. When he loses a bit of his pace he'd really turn into a nothing player rather than adjust like many great fullbacks have.

We should be in for him. English, young ish (26) consistent, and doesnt suffer many injuries

We got other positions to worry about before spending £50m on a right back. It isn't a priority position at the moment.

He might not be great, but he's got a good gritty personality.. can see him doing well under a Jose but think he lacks the brain to do well under a Pep.

Good player but i could see him being ridiculously overpriced. Again we have to remember this is Daniel Levy we're dealing with

I'd expect the price to be £50 million + which is probably good business for Spurs although I wouldnt be happy if he went to domestic rival.

Spurs will be fine, Kieran Trippier is a very capable replacement for him and I'd argue his attacking play is better than Walker too. Like many have mentioned above, I expect City to sign him for a ridiculous sum.

It's bit mental that window hasn't even opened and there are rumors of van Dijk and Walker being sold for 50 mil each, lord knows what the market will be like once it actually opens.

Hard worker, great athlete but lacks a football brain.

Not worth the £40m he'll cost imo.

Is this when he goes from the best in the league to someone they can easily replace?

City are welcome to him. Decent/good player, but we can do better, and for less money than he would cost as well.

Not easily replace no - Trippier is decent enough to keep us going but we will need to buy another RB if Walker leaves and it wont be easy to find one who has the physical attributes required (something Trippier lacks a bit) and the defensive/offensive ability to shine in our system.

Surely won't go to City as they don't sell to their direct rivals?

Walker is a slightly different situation that selling Alli or Kane to a direct rival though, not that I think he will be sold domestically.

Well, 4 years left on his contract, PL team of the season, homegrown (if PL club), in his prime and with an inflated market. I'd say at least 50m considering it's Levy.

We don't know what the situation is though, could just be media guessing and making up stories.

He was probably Englands best player at the last Championship, but is he consistent enough?

I wouldn't mind Walker at Chelsea. He is homegrown, entering his prime and is actually a quality player. Conte requires tough, physically fit wingbacks for his system to work properly so he'd be a great fit.

But it's Levi we're talking about here, so it's a non-starter.

Strange you say that given he has the most assists for a defender in the league this season.

When you watch his crossing from out wide his speed and power gets him in such good positions but often his cross doesn't beat the first man or he doesn't see the pass. Don't be fooled he hasn't been played at a defender (RB) this season at all really, which explains his massive improvement.

For example Walker has 5 assists in 31 appearances in the league while Trippier has 3 assists in 9 appearances.

Trippier is a much better crosser of the ball than Walker - he just doesnt have the athleticism that Walker has.
