IMO he is currently the best overall wicket keeper in the world. Great batsman and good with the gloves as well. he's quality.

I think Dhoni is up there with the likes of Akmal. Imran Khan was asked to compare them and he couldnt because of their differing styles, and said he was eager to see how they both fare over the next few years.Dumpstar said:Very tough call. I like Sangakara who has sometimes single-handedly held (no pun intended) a poor Sri Lanka side together.
But Gilchrist is still playing (and playing well) who has set the standard which both Sangakara and Akmal are following. Gilchrist is still the sensai due to the fact he has done it all.
Not far behind Jacobs and Dhoni aren't exactly doing too badly either.
He hasnt had the chance to. Whatever hes done so far hes done magnificently. Thing with him is, hes a true match winner. And his ODI record is incredible, i doubt Akmals comes close to that.Dumpstar said:Unarguably Dhoni has a good eye hand bat coordination like Akmal. The only difference I can see is Akmal is probably marginally better with wicketkeeping gloves on. Also Akmal has made centuries in both forms of the game against top opposition (i.e. Australia, England and India).
Dhoni hasn't. Yet.
Never said that. Hes a class player and would get into the side as a batsman alone, hes that good. But i dont think theres much between the two, both excellent talents and have different styles.. cant really compare yet.Dumpstar said:Amol, you haven't really being paying attention if you think Akmal hasn't done much. I can't be bother typing the reasons.
