Are you sure thats not next summer?

Kliuvert said he is going to start talks soon, so it probably is this summer. I agree with yamo123x, he will be a great partner for ruud.

Ruud doesn't need a strike partner. He needs a creative AM like Ronaldinho playing behind him. I hope Kluivert doesn't ever come to OT.

lol, i kno what you mean. But I think that it is kinda a gamble taking on Ronaldinho over Kluivert. Ronaldinho is a great player, but i dont think his style of play is suited for the premiership, although it will be good to see him in a united shirt ^^. Of course, this just ONE opinion.

On the other hand, if Kluivert was to come to united, i can gurantee that Ruud's goal tally will be going up, as Kluivert can assist him. Also, Kluivert can score a good share of goals aswell. Ruud will also be more comfortable playing with him, as he plays with him internationally with holland.

Although there might be better alternatives than Kluivert, i dont think that we should rule him out just yet :) .

patrick kluivert is not a manchester united player. <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

All you guys slag off kluivert but he will give us that creative spark and aerial threat we've lacked.Ruud wants him surely that shud tell us something.Maybe he turned us down once but everyone makes mistakes.

No point in discussing this as long as we're running a 4-4-1-1. Ronaldinho is the man.

Try telling that to giggzy or waste - giggzy will tell you that he can play anywhere in our system and stick him on the right wing.

Kluivert plays as a link player..

He could play in our 'system'.

Where as Roy Makaay couldn't.... from what I've seen of him, he looks like an out an out striker.. we need players who can be flexible.

Kewell and Duff are examples of players in the PL, who look comfortable in two/three positions....

..based on what? I definitely wouldn't mind Kluivert wearing the Red shirt next season.

I wouldn't say he doesn't need a partner, because we need to be able to play with two front men if the need arises but Ole can do that - we need another option for the withdrawn role.

Kluivert is only good in fits and starts imo.

The advantage that Kluivert has over Ronaldinho is that he could play as the sole striker and we wouldn't rely quite so much on Ruud.

I have questions about both of their work-ethics, but just in the way they play the game Kluivert would fit in faster.

I agree with you. Dutch players tend to settle in England better than South Americans and the fact that hes Ruud pal will help him too

Kluivert is class. He was just stuck in a crap team with a crap coach. I think he'll be geting itchy feet that he'll be stuck with Barca in their rut for the next few years.

I doubt he'll come here, but would love it, just love it if he did.
