Kimi wins

From last to first. Point proven I'd say. He and Schumacher are in a league of their own.

Agreed. Kimi is a great driver, Alonso lives on his car that even makes Fischichella close to winning. I haven't watched F1 so much this season why did the Ferrari car suck this season?

Agreed.

Kime would have won the title this year if it wasnt for the idiots at McL.

Kimi should be 2 time F1 World Champion by now. This season should be his and he was so close in 2003. If he was up against anyone else in '03 other than MSC he would have won it that year.

He will win it when he goes to Ferrari.

I think you are all jumping the gun a tad. Kimi is a great driver for sure, but he is in far and away the fastest car this year. Bottom line is he has made mistakes this season that have combined with McLaren's reliability problems to prevent a championship. Alonso on the other hand has got everything possible out of what imo is a pretty average car. Alonso has been head and shoulders above the rest of the field while Fisi has been duking it out with the pack. Alonso has excelled and got a hell of a lot more out of that car than people realise, or are giving him credit for. This season has reminded me an awful lot of Schumacher's first titles in a very average Benetton, and personally I'd expect equal dominance if Alonso was ever to get the best package beneath him.

Compare his misstakes with McLarens.

mistakes? what fecking mistakes? I can recall one driving mistake, when he flatspotted the tyre and it blew one lap before finishing. He could have settled for second, but him being a winner, only wins count and he decided to push it. That the engine breaks down is not his mistake..whereas I do remember Alonso hitting the wall in one race..

Alonso has done feck all, his car is better than the rest of the pack i.e. why they are still in for the constuctors title and was basically handed his points because the McLaren broke down. Alonso won the title because of a reliable car and a shit teammate, i.e.Fisi was never able to challenge and when both the Macs were out he automatically got the points. You could put any above average driver in that Renault and they would have the same amount of points, as well, it was all about waiting for the Mac engine to break. McLaren lost the title unfortunately.

As a sidenote, this was the day Alonso was going to go for it as he didn't have to be "conservative", well, Kimi certainely blew him away and even Alonso said he had a competitive car today. Kimi does what he wants, with a car loaded with fuel he still gets the pole, he starts from last spot and finishes first..

Just watched the highlights there

Alonso is a bit of an animal alright. He raped Fisichella this year, really showed him up, many :nervous: thought Fisichella was a top-line talent, now that's been shown not to be the case. I still give Kimi the nod over him, drivers do what they have to do to win, Alonso played his game superbly.
