Florentino's alternative to De Gea?

Come on Perez you git, leave our David alone and sign Casilla instead. Surely he wouldn't want to go there to be back up to De Gea and Navas.

Christ they are lowballing everyone

This is unusual, they are usually prepared to pay what ever it takes.

Perhaps they are that retarded when it comes to their view of goalkeepers.

I said it in the De Gea thread, Perez seems like the guy who thinks a GK isn't important enough to spend big money on. I'm pretty sure he's more than happy to wait a year and take De Gea for free.

Casilla..Casillas.. he's planning to tell the fans look, its Iker, I got him back.

I'm on to you Perez. :smirk:

If he's going to be a backup.. then Navas is leaving?

What if the rumours are true about Woody wanting Ramos and Navas for De Gea?

Espanyol has lost a few important starters this summer and have made very little money. Now madrid comes to buy their 10m gk and they offer 4m. Poor fellas

He's an ok keeper. Had a good 13/14 season and even got into the national team. This season he was ok. Will be 29 soon.

Not just when it comes to goalkeepers :)

They ain't giving up on DDG folks, I reckon he'll leave when we finish our tour

We should use our links to have 6-7 clubs (+ ours) bombarding Real with ridiculous fees. 7m from Bolton for Bale, 4m from United for Ronaldo etc

Why? To keep their fax machines busy?

They really are cheap bastards these days - apart from two world records in last 6 years but still. Tight cnuts!

It makes sense for us to ask for Navas in exchange and it would make sense for Real Madrid to sign someone like Casilla to provide back up while they try to sign De Gea, having three goalkeepers would be overkill so it's almost certain Navas will be leaving if De Gea comes.

We could probably get £25m plus Navas from them easily and a goalkeeper of Navas calibre would cost us £10m easily. It would save us the hassle of looking for a new GK for at least a couple of years which is convenient given the complete lack of obvious targets (though Leno, Oblak and Lloris look fine and there are some outside candidates like Scuffet).

This is a solid purchase. Will end up saving them money. Only have to remove the last letter from all the printed Casillas jerseys.
