Kidulthood

It's about teenage life growing up in the "Ghetto". Downloaded it, seems pretty good, but its not the full file.

Sounds like a bag of boiled up bag of semen.

2.4/10? that's silly, seems really good so far. Or maybe it's just me, because it's my type of film and as i can relate to it, makes it an even better film.

Yo-Yo me feckin' homie, hows it 'anging, man?

Is that ghetto?

 something like that Ret ;)

The film was kinda cool though, becuase I belive it portrays teenage life in the Ghetto, quiet well so far. Also funny becuase it seems if I hadn't made the choices which I made, I could've ended like them.

the guy who wrote and stars in it said thats what he wanted it to do so I guess he did a good job...

It's funny growing up in a council estate. Any of you lot ever live in one of them?

yeah, seems to me he did quite a good job. I've lived in this estate for around 9/10 years now, and it's down to the choices you make. i've been exposed to lots of drugs and shit, but its down to the person you are, whether you decide to take them, or not. There's atleast 7-8 different crackheads who live in the same estate as me. Kinda funny growing up with the people on the estate. I see all the boys which I use to play football with, and hang out with, and they are now all in a gang, smoking weed, and not doing nothing. Its good though, because although I don't no all of them, as new people from different places have come in, its still alrite becuase I'm still cool with a few of them, so I doubt i'll be getting jumped or troubled by any of them anytime soon :D. Its good to be cool with some of them, as then you dont get troubled or anything.

Sometimes when i come back from college, I just think back about the days when we use to play football, and the path I chose to follow, and the path they chose to follow.

You got a new job ret? Hows the estates in Hull? Any trouble or anything?

all my old mates are druggies etc. I still talk to them and they couldnt jump me if they tried as I would get my dad onto them ;) Coucil states were great fun growing up but I wouldnt dream of buying a house on one even if I knew everyone.... fook that right off... 20 a side footy was great though

Yeah I can remember there use to be summer football tournaments, and we use to usually win, becuase we had the best team as it contained me and a few other who were rather good. I use to even play for the under 15's even when I was 11, as I use to be a mean defender at the time, and they use to leave me by myself whilst they all attacked. cnuts. Football in estates were fun though, if you saw a match, you would just enter the pitch/cage and join any team. The matches use to end when it went dark

Nope

Estates around here are okay, they get bad press really. I work in a place called Bransholme, if you get chance to, google it. Statistics say it has one of the highest child deprivation and poverty rates in Britain. Shithole if they ever was one.

Anyway I'm off kids, night. And remember, don't do drugs ;)

For some reason, it reminds me of Elvis's "In The Ghetto"

Great song.

Just shut up.

Nice story mate, some of us have it too easy.

Britain can only make parochial shite about the drudgery of inner-city life, or vapid fairytales from the pen of Richard Curtis.

If our film industry was a dog I'd have taken it outside and shot it with a 12-gauge.

It was written by Noel Clarke, who plays Mickey in Doctor Who.

Being ever so slightly acquainted with Doctor Who actors who think they should be writers over the last few decades, it must be utter crap.

With all due respect to Noel, naturally.

i have not seen either the first one or the sequel so i will just air on the side of caution and denounce them both as shite.

It was alright, quite daft in parts - 'We's well black innit'

True ting mandemz.

But yeah its nothing like real life, but if GCSE Media and half an A Level in Media taught me anything then its that no films are realistic at all - they re-present life but don't represent it.

feck yeah I should have got an A.
