Gotta love these contradictory reports.

Apparently Kewell's family back in Austrailia has "let slip" that he has made up his mind and WANTS TO JOIN MANCHESTER UNITED if the two clubs manage to work out a deal, supposedly £7 million.

At that price (at least a few million cheaper than Duff) he is a major major bargain. Would be an excellent signing not only to strengthen our squad for next year but could play a pivotal role for the team in the many years to come.

Don't want Kewell. He pobviously thinks hes to good for Manchester United, those comments in the paper the other day where he told his brother he didnt want to play second fiddle "to players like giggs and beckham" were disgraceful.

Plus he's only good in "spurts", althoguh he has more ability than Damien Duff, Duff is far more consistant throughout the season and is thus a better option. Plus Duff comes with 2 things, he doesnt have an attitude problem, AND the main reason we should get him, so we can get "All You Need is Duff, da da da da" goin round OT :D :D

um...van ..in all fairness to the guy dont you think you shouldnt be judging him via "what he has said"

everything is just rumours, this one included. now we dont exactly pay much attention to rumours, but to then turn around and judge someones charecter based on a tidget in a paper is not fair.

we dont know the guy. i reckon he would be a pretty nice person and is a great footballer. He struck me as injury prone last season but this year he came back strong. Duff is great too, but you cant deny Kewells class.

Playing for us would elevate him to the status of the likes of Giggs, Nedved etc. He is that good. In the old transfer market and playing for a good club, he would be worth £20 million.

As for ego's, look at keano, Becks, Cantona. Arrogance is not a bad thing, I like it. Arrogance, belief, never say die kinda thing.

Its prima donnas who piss me off, who throw strops or who dont turn up for training. Worse than that are thugs with no brains.

Kewell is not a prima donna to my knowledge. we know didly squat about his lifestyle, his attitude etc. why has he been plumped alongside the party boys like yorke or the crybabies like Anelka? from what i have seen of him during his time in the PL, all i have seen is that he has great potential on the pitch.

oh, and he is sponsored by Nike? oh and he will help us "break into" the austrailian market.
 
shaolin great responce. i didn't want to have to respond to van. The Australian Market is strong this singing would make it impossible for any other clud.

my "gotta love" remark was reffering to the way the story was posted.

It came under the article saying we were chasing Joe Cole and were competing for his signature with Barcelona, Valencia and Chelsea. Now to think we would get both Cole and Kewell...thats a no no. Nevermind Duff, Quaresma and Ronaldinho....

silly season is definitely here :D

I've got a feeling that the megastore scarf may be making a double appearance in the very near future:-

Ronaldinho & Kewell - very nice all we need after that is Ayala & a keeper. (wishful thinking perhaps but hey its summer and Tania on big brother is fit so what the feck!)

£15m for Duff is kinda a rip off. He even admitted it himself that its too much. Ill rather buy Ronnie for that much money.
