Kevin Keegan is hoping that Jaap Stam will return to Manchester – to sign for City. The Manchester City manager has launched a bid for the Dutch defender who was sold to Lazio by United last year. Stam has had a disappointing season in Serie A, joining Lazio reluctantly and then being banned after testing positive for nandrolone. Lazio have yet to pay United in full for Stam and have been trying to offload him.He would be expensive in terms of his fee – around £10m – but that has not deterred Keegan or City and the player's wages are unlikely to be a stumbling block either.

lol lol lol they are doing everything to sell papers.Lazio wont sell Stam.

Well I miss Jaap. :(

And I know he was in a run of bad form. But other players come thru it.

they might sell Stam though, 'cause they want Van Bommel. And he's not cheap...

I also hope its not true but you know it just might be.

Dennis "The King" Law did play for both, as did Peter Barnes . . .

Who give a damn. Next season we sill have foru defenders bettr than him. I.e Nestas, Tudor, Oshe's Johnse hey theirs even Brown.

I heard a rumour they'll set him up with a discount at the local dealers so he's sure to want to go then. What a back line, edgehill-stam-dunne (I'm Irish but he's a donkey) and some one else, I dont know who even plays for City. How the mighty have fallen!
