Happened across this article on the St Josephs Boys Club site on a young lad from Ireland who has signed for United.
Defender - Paul McShane
Defender Paul McShane (16) from Kilpedder, Co.Wicklow, is one of a number of youngsters to have graduated to big time soccer.
He's the third Irish teen to sign for Man Utd recently, after Waterford's John O'Shea went to Old Trafford.
The central defender leaves for Manchester on July 7 for pre-season training and has signed a three year contract.
The U14 and U15 international finished his club football with St. Joseph's in Sallynoggin and a number of major clubs in Britian were chasing his signature.
However, McShane is hopeful he can make it cross-channel and join the World Cup squad in 2006.
He is one of 11 trainees this year with Man Utd, the only one from Ireland.
He has just finished fifth year, but Roy Keane and John O'Shea have already been teaching him new tricks at the Premiership club
"I was going to sign for Leeds and when we were in the dressing room, Roy Keane joked that " Leeds are SCUMBAGS, only sign for them if you get more money," he said. "He was really nice and so was John O'Shea", said the former Wicklow county GAA player about his nervous encounter with the Irish seniors.
"I like the place. It's really family orientated and people there are really genuine. Alex Ferguson was dead on, really sound", said Paul.

Fair Play to you Roy.
