The Book People are selling it for £7.

Bought it for 13 Pounds, that was the cheapest I could do in my week in England...
Was pretty annoying considering I knew from reading here that it's sold for 8 or something somewhere else

worth it tho <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

with benefit of hindsight, yes, he shouldnt have. BUT the big question is, it is the ABU media which is trying to portray him as a monster, and he is definately NOT. He's not a dirty player, compare to a lot in Arse and many others. It is only because he is Roy Keane and an Utd player which attracts so much controversy and ABU wants the worst to happen to him and Utd. you know!!!

He's only a great player who wished to tell the world what he thinks and about his life, and has not considered the political correctness aspect. It's not fair to him when he is now tried by the public.... much like the case in King Eric when everybody (ABU) is calling for his head. Keane has aleady been punished for the foul and served his ban. Speaking about it in a book should recieve no more punishment as it only means you cant be honest! REvenge on the football pitch is hardly a rarity it is just his being honest about it and coming out with the clarity of it that is now hurting him! That's not justice!

There are many hypocrites out there, and KEano is certainly not one!! he's a hardman on the pitch, but hardly play dirty unlike many!!

I enjoy the book a lot and recommend to anyone!!

or the professional implications, the dressing-room atmosphere and offence caused to team-mates, or even the money he'll get for it no doubt.

is the money raised from keane's book going to buy new training kit and first-class flights for the ireland national team?

;)

That should come from Mick McCarthy's book surely.

I'm sure he did. He intended it to be a reminder and in time honoured Keano style, a kick up the arse. Time will tell whether it had the intended effect. As for money, its selling at £7. What money?

ever heard of "not doing your dirty washing in public"?

a high-profile book serialised in the tabloids was hardly a clever way of going about stimulating team morale, was it?

Yeah. He tried it earlier.

It was hardly about stimulating morale was it?

He's a great great player, but he can stick his book up his ass.

I wouldnt read it if I'd been stuck on a desert island for a year and it was my only posession - though it might come in handy for something by then ;)

I've read a few footy biography's (Bestie's latest offering was superb) but I prefer to wait until they've bleedin well retired.

:(

that's the key really. they don't need the money when they're still playing and they risk alienating team-mates, managers and opponents they've still got to encounter.

well said!! :)

There is only one Keano!!! I am glad i am among the few people (Fans of Keano and United) who DO understand this great footballer, his passion for football, his integrity and his desperate desire to win and total devotion! He has my respect as a footballer and a person. Not that he wants everyone to like him though, no, not him. That makes him even more special...... Not everyone can appreciate his qualities!

and he admired hoddle! Well, i guess as time goes on, he might have changed his mind....... :)

These guys are footballers NOT writers.....they should stick to what they know and wait until they retire to write these STUPID books...........THEN and THEN only can they say what they like without upsetting the playing 'team'.........the team are suffering now without Roy!!!! Come back Jaap without writers cramp!!!!! GET A GRIP!!!!! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Good old Roy.......

He tells it like it is...

At least he got the Irish players out of economy class...

Bloody FAI..... .....

Keane didnt write his book ...that c**** Dunphy did, and much of it to his agenda, and keane made the mistake of nodding it through thats the travasty in this sad silly stupid saga

like i've said before hindsight is a wondeful thing, Roy seems to have put it behind him just hope the FA does the same.

honestly, are you saying what you're saying AFTER reading his book and came to the above opinion??? If you did, i dont know whether you are reading the same book as me!! Or are you just relying what the ABU media is telling you what is written in the book?? A lot of the opinion about what Keano wrote was expressed out of context and has been blown out of proportion by the ABU press (to sell paper and other purpose. We as supporters of United and keano are pleased to read about him from him (even from ghost writer!).

And if you HAVE read the book, you would surely notice that there is nothing written about the team mates that are upseting anyone of those in red shirts. He never shys away from making known his requirement of high standard in footballing and expected his team mates to do the same (to win trophies that is!!)

And if you are talking about the Team mates in the ireland camp, they are disgraceful in the handling of the keano affair and we dont give a damn if they are upset! Plus the criticism is legitimate and mild.

So get a grip and dont be misled by and falled into the trap of the ABU media!

I'll think you'll find that the release date of MacCarthy's book is soon.

How come when Keano is honest he is a villian. It seems the anti United British press only think its okay to use your autobiography to be honest when you disclose that you had a drink problem, gambling problem or cocaine habit re messrs Adams and Merson, who are now holier than thou according to the British press (no coincendance that both are Arsenal scum). Also Cloughie has said a few controversial things in his latest book, Jack Charlton was likewise in his book a few years ago. I think the main problem with the book is not Keanos honesty but the fact he has let his book be used by Dunphy as a personal crusade for his own agenda ie his feud with Jack Charlton and his dislike for Linfield FC in Belfast are two Dunphy gripes that automatically spring to mind

Bollicks!!! Eamon Dumphy is a highly intelligent, honest journalist, contraversial yes, however he is very fair and in all honesty he is the last journo I would accuse of impartiality. His radio programme"The Last Word"is the most fair, entertaining, andinformative programme on the airwaves in Ireland, and despite the criticism he recieves personally, (a lot of it agenda driven)he is probably the most respected journalist in the country. Why else would Keane have chosen him to write it?I have been listening to the Last Word for years and his programme is beyond reproach .(I am not a freind or relation of Mr Dumphy, although he may owe me a pint after that spiel)

I have not read ANY of the books........all I am interested in is the team playing well!!! Do NOT misunderstand me.............when I referred to the team I meant that whilst he is not playing (and yes I know that he is injured right now) the team are missing him so if he gets banned cos of a stupid book..........where will the team be then............are these books not best left until they NO longer play football!!!! For God's sake they can't 'need' the money surely!!
