Keano?

If Sir Alex is going to build a new team at OT would Keano be a vital part of those plans. He is not getting any younger and we really need, in my opinion, to get used to life without Keane. So if Fergie is gunna build a new team, perhaps he should go, not because he is shit, but because we are too reliant upon him and when the day comes for him to retire, we'll be lost.

Fergie doesnt play, so age doesnt matter as long as he is fit+healthy and still has the thirst for it(which could never disappear).
As for keano, he has started to really look after himself this past few years, and a man of his drive and strength could go on (like robbo) for another four years.
Also he would inspire and look after any young lads that fergie desides to bring in(which i have no doubt he will) e.g JO'S

i admit i'm not a united historian and though i was supporting and watching united at the time i can't remember every detail about keane's arrival to old trafford...questions for the older guys or those more informed:
robbo was still playing right? (i know i'll get railed for this questions....but how involved was robbo at the time)
how was keane involved right after his purchase?

it seemed to me it took years for keane to take his place as a leader of united and can't be expected to be all sorted out in a single purchase (ie. viera as some have suggested, or a viera-type)
i think we should hold onto keane for as long as he can play at the calabir that we need him to play at and until we see a natural replacement coming through (a transfer, or a younger player, or a established player)...

shit...i guess i'm also forgetting keane was, at the time, the most expensive purchase by a british club...
