dont know where they got this from or whether theyre making it up but if its true keano get a grip.

Interesting point, scores do need to be settled. We need to take the league back from the ARSE, beat Liverpool, Bolton etc. etc. Until the full context is given you can't comment. Same old story with the media, pick the bits they want to make a comment sound like something it wasn't.

Cantona '95 | Beckham '98 | Keane '02

Good point. But if he's referring to individual scores like Haaland then there's more trouble on the way. The "rotting in hell" iro McCarthy and most of the Irish squad is an old quote I think but it just adds to the problems. Roy should immediately issue a statement of clarification or refutation through his lawyers if indeed he can to try and minimise ultimate FA sanction. They're going to come down very heavily on him. Unfortunately for United I expect him to announce his retirement when that happens. Sounds like he's had enough anyway.

If the FA are stupid enough to charge somebody on the strength of media reports then we may as well all go home now. The FA require proof, what the Telegraph say, or any other paper for that matter, doesn't come into it and can't.

Keano is saying nothing because he has nothing to say about these comments. United and the players can't be seen to answer every wild headline about what someone may or may not have said.

Lets not pander to the media, they're causing this issue by plucking half a sentence, half the context. If we pander they have another headline, if we ignore it they have nothing.

Quite. However, presumably these comments have been taken from the book which admittedly I haven't read. Hopefully for our sakes they are out of context and open to interpretation although I don't think that's Keane's way somehow. If the latter then Roy should explain and quickly or accept the consequences. Of course the FA won't just hand down suspensions on the strength of media talk alone. Roy will be given a personal hearing to defend the charges. Hopefully he will take that opportunity but who knows?

I reckon Keane should take part in some more interviews...

More publicity for his book, and thats whats important

Keane got a flat fee, more books does not mean more cash for him........

Now now, just because the average Scouser can't read. ;)
