Its over, whats done is done, just put it to rest now. all this slaggin is for school yards not the media.

Roy should just get on with his football and forget the whole thing ever happend instead of bringing it all up again in the press.

focus your energy on winning man utd another treble - that will make the whole deal insignificant.

Well he's now gone and given all the ABU's the perfect excuse to get at him with the admission of his intent with the Haaland 'tackle.'

Despite the fact that it was all forgotten and put to bed, Roy has given the FA a reason to take another look and probably to ban him for some matches.

On the other hand, they can't go too far having let off a couple of Arsenal players last season. (Henry, Vieira)

Roy is not helping his team with his book.

Personally, i find it very distastefull for a extemely wealthy player to spout shite in the media just to create the controversy needed to sell more copies of a book. Roy keane the player is one of uniteds best, but roy keane the person needs to get a grip. Maybe keane is just being honest with his paper dialogs, but all he is really doing is digging up shit that is better left burried. This commercial crap is not what made keano the player he is.

I hope this doesnt go on much longer or i may start losing respect for him, which is something i really dont want to do.

I dont care how much he has given to United, for me Roy Keane is dead as a person.

It's his opinion to write the book, just like it would be his choice to quit whenever he feels like, his choice to play for us or not. I think if he did not write this book KEANE would be a very unsettled player, he has gotten it off his chest and everyone knows exactly what went on rather than hide from the truth.

You can choose to read the book or not, JUST feckEN RESPECT HIS CHOICE TO WRITE THE BOOK AND TO LIVE HIS LIFE THE WAY HE WANTS TO. Personally i have found whats written so far very interesting, the fans are hidden from the facts and Roy Keane is telling his side of what happened to him.

Roy Keane is far to professional to let this get in the way of his playing career, MAYBE PEOPLE SHOULD READ THE ENTIRE BOOK BEFORE JUDGING HIM.
From all the manchester United players i think that he is the one that shows more passion, commitment and Desire for this club to be more successful. His attitude for Manchester United has always been excellent. Even though he has won soo much, he still has more hunger than any player in the PL if not Europe. He not only wants to win Trophies , He wants to Dominate Europe and PL, it is easy for the hunger to go away, with Roy it never does.

This book certainly will get his message across to the FAI and some players who have been slacking, infact i think it will be the ideal Kick in the Butt they need.

Can anyone think of a player that would Replace Roy Keane in the Manchester United Side today, Remember he is the Captain. He is the driving force, He is what every Team misses, His competitiveness will win us many more trophies.

ROY KEANE IS GOD <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" /> <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Well, Keano has certainly been the inspiration for some peculiar posts - the one about his `being dead as a person` is particularly bizarre.

To put Keano and his book into context - some posters have said that Manchester United players should not be writing such books until they have retired. Of course if Yip Yap hadn`t been so foolish and had not informed the world that Sir Alex `tapped` him, he would still be a Red Devil today. Discretion is the better part of valour and all that.

However, I don`t think Sir Alex is getting wound up about Roy`s book. Roy is not challenging the Manager - and that was Jaap`s cardinal sin. Sir Alex will not have his authority questioned by the players and even if some players and fans don`t like this (Livvie), I think Sir Alex`s approach has made Manchester United the club of the 90s and STILL THE English club now.

Forget all the media nonsense - Manchester United is still the benchmark and until Arsenal, Liverpool or (very long shot) Leeds dominate English football the way Manchester United have, that will be the case.

Sure Roy`s comments probably have put noses out of joint (Haaland`s was already out of joint before the book as was his leg or whatever Keano damaged), but reading the excerpts on the internet I was struck by the guts of the man to say those things about himself as much as he said things about others.

Keano`s book stands as a real autobiography in these times of spin doctored, sanitised, mediocre so-called autobiographies. I think Keano probably has what would be recognised as a form of clinical depression but he understands that.

I can`t wait to buy the book and if it has ruffled feathers at Old Trafford then Sir Alex would not care. Roy is not challenging his authority and why should he - weak managers do not win the haul of medals Sir Alex has won.

I think if your backing keane on this then its because your influenced by him playing for united. Lets be honest, if this was some other player at some other club, we would be slagging him off big time - just because its roy were making excuses for him.

Dont remember Robbo ever using the media to publicly slander other proffesionals; and he also gave his heart and soul to united.

I am fully behind Roy Keane. People are only going on about what Roy Keane has said due to his autobiography being serialised.

This feud has been going on for years now, ever since Keane lunged at him during the Leeds game. Haaland has had enough to say over the years as well, there is no way a personality like Keane is going to just walk away from the fact Haaland stood over him at Elland Road saying he was faking injury etc...

It was a build up for Roy Keane and you have got to admit, that tackle at Old Trafford was class.............I respect the guy for having the passion he does, wearing his heart on his sleeve and for just living and breathing Manchester United just like we do...........

Keano, Keano, Keano.... <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Who gives feck about what you think?

How can you judge people without knowing them, No one says Kick out at players if ur angry and swear at your manager. He did it, he knows why he did it and he will take responsibilty for doing it, if you had the chance to , i bet you wouldn't have the balls to say it to the man to his face, it is very hard to get people who say what they feel and not suck up to anyone.

No one needs to defend Keane's book because it is the truth, it is what actually happened and if u can't accept that, then you are a fecken cnut and if u can't understand that then you are a bigger cnut. I don't see Mick Mcarthy or the FAI or anyone else calling Roy Keane a Liar ????? So i can't understand what the fck the problem is.

You can't compare Roy Keane's Life to Robbo because he is ROY KEANE and not Bryan Robson, i didn't see Robbo Fly kick and Crystal Palace supporter too and neither did i see Robbo win 2 doubles and a Treble not to mention many other trophies but he was a brilliant player.

Roy Keane and MAnchester United will come out of this stronger and better. Keane is the type of person who will admitt when he is wrong and stand by his convictions 100% when he is right. He works hard and expects results, All he wants is the people around him to show the same comittment and desire. I still remember that European cup Semi Final SEcond Leg against Juventus. The man was just Brilliant.

He has been ever Loyal to Manchester United and there supporters, SO THERE IS NO REASON WHY WE SHOULDN'T SHOW HIM THE SAME LOYALTY.

Been reading some of your posts. Sounds to me like you have never liked Keane. You sound quite bitter. Oh and you also said elsewhere you would take Heskey over Forlan.

A wind up scouse merchant me thinks.

how gives a feck what i think? well, as an individual nobody, but as part of the collective everybody, including fergie (who has to now defend keane). Even his mate Irwin doesnt think its right.

Forget the bullshit about him wanting to tell the truth; this is all about money, keane is determined that he is going to make as much money as possible before he retires. dont you remember he almost quit united and ended up breaking the wage structure...

Would i say it to his face? if i was the manager or a united player i would, definitely. I certainly would'nt be afraid of keane 'getting physical' thats for sure.

Roy Keane - put his personal pride before his country and his wallet before united.

Jeepers Dechamps!?!you are some bloody drama Queen, its only a book, and I bet its going to be the best football book ever, not dissimilar to the nature of the player himself. To say that he is dead as a person to you is pretty pathetic.Youd swear hes after killing someone!! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

He is starting to embarrass a proud club like MU with his antics. He will end up bitter don't you think?

apparently keane is being payed 1 million pounds for his book...

Its going to seem pretty hypocritical when we're singing 'theres only one greedy bastard' at Alan Shearer.

I think Roy Keane is the smartest player in the whole M Utd team. All this while he's been criticizing the rest of the team. Questioning their desire to win. He comes out with this book detailing how he intentionally tried to hurt another player. This re-inforces the impression that he is an honest and tells it like it is.
So everyone believes what he says as truth.

So when Man Utd does badly on the field, who is the last person you would blame????

That's right, its Roy Keane. He has built up a perfect alibi and an escape route. Every one else on the team has no hunger and is concerned with their Rolexes, sports cars, high pay etc. Everyone except good old Roy himself.

And you all fell for it, hook line and sinker.

I dont think that was keane plan, he just wants as big a slice of the pie as he can possibly get. He is motivated by money just like the rest of the team...

actually i shouldnt say hes motivated by money like the rest of the team, quite a few of the players have never been a problem as far as that goes.
