Good news! I know that some of you may think that I'm being cynic, but Keano really needs a good rest... When he comes back he'll be another man, strong and the leader we want him to be, he'll be more focused on the game and he won't do stupid mistakes again.

I just think that Veron will do the job...

Well, Seba will get the chance to really bed into the team now.

so that's

Fab
Mikky
Gaz
Wes
Butt
Scholes
Keane

who have been brushed with our injury jinx.

Let's pray that it stops there.

Thought we were short for cover in defense and attack..Looks like midfield as well!!!!!!!!!!

Come on United Nows the time and perfect opportunity for VERON to shine !!!!!!!!!

Good to see that the Poo and the Goons are not winning as easily as "they" might have thought

Butt is fit for tonight
Mickey is fit for tonight
Scholes should be fit for Bolton next week
Fab should be fit for Bolton next week
G Nev may be fit for Bolton next week

I think the fact that Keano needs surgery is the key factor. Fergie isn't going to send him for it now unless it's vital for his fitness, everything else is just the media putting 2 and 2 together and making 5. Keano needs the OP, end of.

Still begs the question why he didn't have it in the summer after the world cup. Otherwise it appears to be as a direct result of the suspension looming as a result of Sat and whatever the FA might have in store.

Please god dont let him use the time off to write another bleedin book

Without Keane the team know from the off that they dont have someone to get them out of trouble is they dont perform. They seem to like a bit of pressure like that.

Giggs ----- Butt ---- Veron ----- Beckham

No worries. Come on the boys, take Boro apart tonight.

Oh, Veron.... if its 0-0 late on and you're the last man.... dont stand on the freakin ball

Have you read the book?

I doubt it. I wish people would read the thing before commenting on it.

When/If you do read it come back and tell me what was so controversial about it bar the Haaland incident description.

I wish more people would write books like that, I couldn't put it down, read it in two sittings.

Congrats Roy and Eamon!

I agree Fergie sent Keano to do the surgery now. He need to do it anyway. Do it now can help him temporary leave the spotlight and he can take a rest physically as well as mentally.

The rest will do him good.

Watch out for Veron tonight

Just because Keane is out, doesn't necessarily make Veron a better player than Scholes. Paul will be back in a week and has a great partnership and understanding with Butt, as well as putting in some of the best performances of the season by one of our players. Clearly Veron has to play tonight, but he will have to have an excellent game imo to earn that place ahead of Scholes.

The team has got problems but lets be honest when have we every had it easy. We've got enough quality options to cover Keans absence.
These next 3 months will be the making of Seba at OT, who know when Keane comes back maybe he'll have to fight for his place
We'll miss Keane, but there's nothing we can do about it. He'll return fresh and hopefully 100% focused on the games.

I think we miss another defensive midfielder (as a cover). What will happen if Butt is injured ? I'm pessimistic.

O ye of little faith...

We have the kids. Maybe its time for Michael Stewart to have a go. Not forgetting Mads Timm. And maybe there's some kid still the the academy who's the next genius in the making... I have hopes.

Keano had the operation today, could only be out for six weeks...
