Says it on the BBC:

fair play to him, as usual it seems to be a press 'gang up' on UTD again..gives them something else to critisize the club on....I'm not saying what keane's done is Ok, but it's a fact that these things happen in the game...at least he's honest & admits what goes on..there is far worse that goes un-noticed...i'm fortunate to have a friend who plays in the Premiership & you would think racisim would no longer be on the pitch, but he still gets racial abuse & spat at !!!!
anyway, we all can't be 'saints' like Arsey Winger makes out the gooners are !!!

In the USA military there is a policy towards people being gay.

That is 'Don't ask - Don't tell'

That's what's going on with Roy Keane. It happens on a continual basis in the football world. Just don't admitt that it had been so blaitant.

He know's how good he is but he doesn't seem to believe the he's not above the law.

It's really a shame. :(

Isn't he denying the allegation. There's no decision yet so there's nothing to appeal. If the BBC said he's appealing, I think they may be wrong (again)

I'm not surprised he's appealing against the charges but i don't think it will do any good. All it will do is to drag out the process. He should plead guilty and get on with the rest of the season.
When was the last time anyone was found not guilty by the FA once they had been charged.

In answer whom the player is i know, can say at the moment, but some of the stories i am told are quite shocking really - i mean he's ok with wind ups on pitch, but abuse & spitting in the tunnel by a certain london club player is pretty disgraceful these days, there's really no need for that.....anway,no doubt keano will serve his suspsension & come back even more determined to silence the closet backstabbers..giggsy summed it up saying there's not a team in the world who would not have him in there team :) ...anyway, Forlan to score again the weekend

Interesting points made on this forum. I hear that the racial abuse and abuse directed at players for alleged sexuality is shocking in the Premiership.

I am not gay or bi but I believe those people, including football players and US military people, have the right to be open about their sexuality provided they respect others` rights and do not engage in sexual harassment.

As for Roy being a so called `thug` who is getting his come uppance - that is simply a case of vendetta. Only yesterday I was reading 4 4 2 in a bookshop (I live in Japan and prices are so f- ridiculous. Eg about 23 oz dollars for that magazine so I don`t buy it nor do I buy the MU one) and John Fashanu was talking about how he tried to get Giggsy in a game.

Such admissions have been made by both now playing and retired professional footballers, so if an example is going to be made of Roy then it must be demanded of the FA that it go through every statement of every player, retired or otherwise, and bring them to book for the same charges now being levelled at Roy.

It's a fair point but its not really worth banninga player who's already retired. Once a player has retired they are no longer a member of the FA so they cannot impose a fine.
It a bit like an ex employer trying to dock your wages

Hans't Keano served his punishment for the original offence on Haaland already?

Talk is that there's an 8 match suspension hanging over him - for bringing the game into disrepute?

I'm sure there must be a max for this type of 'offences' & surely it's far less than what's being bandied!
