Keano in the reserves

i believe Neil Thompson will be handy once the game is over.

look out for his match analysis.

Maybe we should have an official match thread for this reserves game as well! <img src="graemlins/santa.gif" border="0" alt="[Santa]" />

I predict crunching tackles and the biggest crowd of the season at Moss Lane ;)

It's at OT according to Neil Thomson. <a href="https://www.redcafe.net/news/story.php3?id=20021218191015" target="_blank">https://www.redcafe.net/news/story.php3?id=20021218191015</a>

I thought that Neil said it was being played at Old Trafford?

Didn't know they'd moved it, makes sense, don't want Roy getting injured on the icy surface in Alty! Would have been a bit of a laugh at Moss Lane though

In addition, you can also see Richardson and Fletcher play tonight.

The team is posted on manutd.com already.

I wonder what the attendance will be at Old Trafford tonight, I remember there was a record crowd for a reserve match when Eric Cantona played against Leeds United!

Found it. Thanks for nothing you useless bastards.

7pm KO. Match is live on MUTV.

Funny to think that the worlds best midfielder is going to be playing in our reserves tonight!.

Feeling sorry for those Geordie youngsters. Do they really know what they are up against?.

BRING EM ON <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Cos he'd already started a first team game, first teamers normally only have one reserve game at most before they're back in the first team. Keane may be on the bench against Blackburn.

on the contrary, they (the gerodies) must feel so flattered, (and lucky) to be playing against our Keano!!! Never in their wildest dream they have such a chance! Consider christmas wish come true to be on the same pitch with a world class player like Keano.

There is only one Keano! Welcome back Captain!

what's the then record crowd? Keano's last night was reported as having 2000. It's very good to know "There was little evidence of rustiness in Keane's play "

See below:

From: <a href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=252618&cc=5739" target="_blank">http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=252618&cc=5739</a>

But Keane could return to the bench on Sunday when United visit local rivals Blackburn after his return in front of around 2000 fans at Old Trafford last night.

And although United's second string may have lost out 3-2 to Newcastle, the 31-year-old's apparent sharpness as he completed 90 minutes will have been a major boost.

After a quiet start, during which Carl Cort put the visitors in front, Keane slowly started to impose himself on the contest and it was his powerful drive which led to Daniel Nardiello tapping United level after the Newcastle goalkeeper failed to hold the shot.

Showing some deft touches, there was little evidence of rustiness in Keane's play and although United's first team will be bidding for their ninth-successive win when they visit Ewood Park on Sunday, Ferguson is almost certain to hand his talisman a place in the travelling squad should he show no ill-effects from tonight's encounter.

Keane even had a couple of late chances to mark his reappearance with a goal but twice shot narrowly over as United pressed for an equaliser after they had conceded two goals in four minutes midway through the second period.
