A far better player than Morientes or Crespo. The Yids must be creaming themselves.

good player, who's gonna set the plate for him though? strikers never seem to do to well at spurs, at least not recently.

And all the spurs fans are convinced that Morientes is still on his way to be Keane's strike partner.

Safe to say I would be a tad envious if that happens.

Envious of Spurs. Is that actually possible???

Always a fan of Keane. His reading of the game is superior to most strikers in the country. Excellent business at 7m.

He did turn them down though a few weeks ago didn't he?

Yeah, Sunderland as well.

The whole Keane saga has been a farce. First they wanted rid of him, then he begged them to give him a chance, now he's theatening them to let him go....

its all bollox and I for one am glad we're not involved.

Rodrigo for under £2m - thats a good bit of business (assuming its comes off of course)

Errrr, ok. My point was that he's joined a club he turned down not a few weeks ago.

Yes, and I clarified that he did.

Which is nice

or our 7.5 mil Joke, Forlan

To be fair to Forlon, the market is incredible different than it was last season. Players valuation are dropping like stones, should be interesting, we may never beat £29 million again <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

If this report is real, it make our purchase of Forlan look like a joke.

The market last season was a lot more over-priced than the situation right now.

But in a way, it does look like we paid over the odds for a striker who isn't even first choice for his country.

You paid over the odds for a defender too. ;)

Keane is a good buy at £7m as long as he learns to pass the ball when the time is right. He will improve when he plays regular football - I am sorry to see him go but it was always on the cards.

You already have too many forwards, you just can't keep them all happy. I just don't understand why both O'Leary and Venables seems rate Smith more than him. If I were them I'll always start Keane ahead of Smith.

Robbie Keane has the potential to be world class, all the ingredients are there. He is an excellent footballer ,and a very good finisher, and with regular football he will get better and better

At least that particular defender is a proven world class player.

Keane is a proven EPL striker who can also produce the goods at the european stage and was bought for a LOWER price than Forlan.

Brilliant negotiators we have at OT....

Keane's reason for leaving was that he wanted to be a regular starter wasn't it? What makes you all think he would've got his wish at United?
