Just seen on the Premiership, and apparently it will be in tomorrows paper that Roy Keane will have his operation on his hip and will miss 3 months.
I think this is the best move SAF could take. Get him out of the firing line for a while. Let the FA ban him and the ban will elapse while he is recovering from his injury

When Bowyer was banned for disrepute they waited until after he was back from his 'injury/trial' absence and then banned him so that he would miss actual games.

They are susposed to be looking at it this week.
The 3 game ban for the red card is a completely seperate case from the possible disrepute charge will start 14 days from the incident so that is the game against Leeds.
If SAF plays it right he might wait till the FA pass judgement and then comfirm offically the date of the op. Once the FA have impossed the ban they cannot change the dates because of the operation

Thanks. I think SAF would probably be better off waiting until the FA pass judgement.
