The FA admitted they were wrong.

If he didn't appeal they'd look a bit stupid now though wouldn't they?

They already do...

As he's unfit anyway, I hope he doesn't appeal. He has every bloody right to, but it just wouldn't be for the better of Manchester United.

I think Keane will appeal - for 2 reasons. first it appears clear that his injury has not responded well to treatment - meaning he will not be able to play before end Dec/early Jan at best. This removes the downside from dragging this out.

Secondly he is still under threat of legal action from Haaland - a failure to appeal a ruling could be interpreted as an admittance of guilt - or certainly that a "case" had been "proven" against him. Therefore for good legal, but bad footballing reason's I think we will see an appeal.

Why wait so long then? The verdict was made two weeks ago. As for when Keane will be back - it's just guesses. Fergie said 'a few weeks away', which means he could well be fit when his bans ends.

Which is what was expected in the first place, when his surgery was supposed to keep him out for 3 months.

If Keano doesn't appeal, it can't, legally, be seen as any proof of guilt. A person can be found liable in a lower court ( i.e. County court and the FA is not even a fecking court but still has to behave under common law) but it is only seen as evidence in a higher court. The point here is that 'Res judicata' should aplly ( Henderson v. Henderson for those in the know) i.e. already judged!

What Keane has to decide is whether it is worth the ferreting that occurs in any court case when he can be over it (forgotten) in 5 matches.
