U16s English striker who just signed for us from Fulham after impressed on trial.Already played U18s for them.

Disappointed he's not starting against Southampton.

Misread his first name as Kanye, and started coming up with a load of jokes before I read it again.

I feel robbed now.

Seems this guy was released by Fulham as there were 3 strikers ahead of him in his age-group. Now, obviously, he must have impressed during his trial but I really thought we had poached one of Fulham's gems there for a second. Though I guess Willock arrived in somewhat similar circumstances and he looked very promising last season. Shame we've completely shafted him this term.

Don't think we did shaft willock tbh. He is one of the youngest in his age group but to me it's always looked like there was a limit to his potential. Next year or so will tell us more of course.

Anyway this new lad, let's hope he's more Reece James than Freddi veseli.

I like what I've heard about him from people at Carrington.Football is about opinion so I couldn't care less what Fulham coaches think about him.

I read that as Kanye Roberts, assumed he was named after Kanye West, and suddenly felt incredibly old. I feel better now

Whether this season's batch of last season's u18s is good enough to ultimately make it at United is really neither here nor there. We're not doing right by these guys when they're not getting a game for half a year or more.

He didnt actually have 3 ahead of him though. He was a starter for their under 16's and was playing for their under 18's as an under 16. It seems they saw him more as a winger but we view him as a striker. Not sure of all of the details but it seems a strange situation.

Maybe they are showing a poor attitude in training?

Nah they are just stuck between U18 and U21s. Happens to many players each season almost.

Willock for example misses out the U18 cutoff by 2 weeks and has Pearson and others ahead in the U21s.

A bit of nuance is always welcome. My info was based on a Daily Mail article.
