Anyone else got it then? Went and got it today not played it that much just yet. 1st impressions it's seems ok, seems to be largely co-op based.

I also bough a MSN messenger kit which is surprisingly quite cool.
 
It's had really mixed reviews, some sites giving it 6/10 others 93 %, even so, I'll probably get it, along with Stranglehold and COD 4, for Christmas.

:lol: Too right. I've bought myself a bottle of Jagermeifter as well to drink while playing. Still need some aftershave. Decided to sack Christmas off. Get some cheap box set gifts from Tesco.

Do you work for Tesco? Yeah I got the vouchers. Worked it out if you spend £20 you can get £10 off, if I've worked it out right.

Meh. I stand about looking at trolleys. Need to get a transfer off it. Trying to get on the electrical desk just so I can watch DVD's and play games all day. You doing the firelighters courses then?
 
Time to get a transfer, you'll freeze to death out there during the winter. I'm not doing any of the courses, might see if I can get some GCSE's off them but that's about it. Do you know if we get a christmas bonus?, nothing in my payslip today.

It's ok our car park is under ground. Don't think we do get a bonus. Pretty shit really for a company that makes something like £2bn profit a year.

Wasnt a fan of stranglehold. It pissed me off after a while because if you look for cover you tend to slide all over everything. Went to duck behind something and ended up sliding over it. Its like all the game surfaces have been laminated.
 
A question for the Tesco lads, why do they have those new self-service checkouts? They take ages and I can't use my own bag.

I did accidentally steal a box of OXO cubes the other day though.

I had a couple of games on it last night. Not many people on it though. Seemed ok. Only one game mode. You are part of a team, you have to go rob different places and get away with the most money. If you die you become a police officer. You can kill your team as well for there money but then they'll spawn as mercs and kill you.
 
Nice game, the PC version isn't stable though.
 
I heard it's shite ... watching this thread to gauge opinion.
 
I hear it's an spectacularly unspectacular game. Something else that put me off it is that Eidos, the makers of the game, got some well-known game reviewer fired for giving it less-than-good scores.
 
Gamespot used to be the first site I'd check for gaming news/reviews ... I'll be watching them carefully now.

Eh? Reviews save you from spending money on games that may look good but end up being a pile of steaming horse cack. Obviously they shouldn't be the be all and end all... I never cop anything that scores less than an 8/10 in GS, thats served me well over the last 5 years...

If anything this game has made me realise it's that reviews can't be trusted. The fact eidos managed to get somebody sacked for giving a poor review says it all. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 maybe a 7.5.

Yeah of course, everyone's tastes are different. But if a game gets 2/10 you can pretty much put your house on it being a steaming pile of horse mes..
 
You have to be a little suspicious when there is loads of marketing yet no playable demo available for it.
