Juventus have re hired their old club doctor from the late 90's.

Some might be unaware but he was accused and convicted of administering epo and other steroids to the late 90's Juventus team - he escaped punishment on appeal only because the statute of limitations came into effect, and they could not try the crimes of 10 years ago.

Zidane, Conte, Del Piero and Pavone were all implicated and said to have received performance enhancing treatment from him.

It's a poor decision to reinstate him but to be honest, at this point it's clear UEFA and FIFA do not give a flying feck about doping and cannot do anything about it anyway.

got to beat Madrid some how.

To be honest Italian football for me is full of dirty deals and antics, o find it hard to take the league seriously

Just in time to compensate for the fact that VAR will be implemented in the Serie A next season.

The least we talk about this mess the better. Its so complex that even those involved lose track about it

Some people might be unaware because you are LYING! If you want to open a discussion first get your facts straight.

First of all Agricola was NEVER convicted of anything. He was acquitted of any EPO or doping accusation on appeal so he did not escape nothing. On a different set of accusations he was ACQUITTED because of the statute of limitations. These accusations were not related to doping and epo but to the misuse of some prescription drugs. These drugs were NOT in the doping list but according to prosecutors they could be used to enhance performances. The accusations were highly debatable especially because at time the use of some these drugs was not regulated as it was later and was common practice in many professional sports in Italy and abroad. Whether this is good or bad is an entirely different discussion that certainly did not involve Agricola any differently than most sport doctors (and still does btw)

Zidane, Conte and Del Piero NEVER admitted nothing of the sort you are describing, which begs the question of why you would write such a colossal amount of BS and lies in one post.

Also claiming that somebody who is acquitted because of the statute of limitations is guilty by default and escapes conviction is just plain ignorant of the basic rules of law.

Juventus fan by any chance? I am not LYING to you. If I am lying then the leading haemotlogist Giuseppe D'Onofrio was also LYING in a court of law.

As said guys, the least said about this the better. Compared to Juventus so called scandals Game of Thrones is a nursery rhyme.

the fact that you are lying is beyond any doubts, because what you said is not true and I listed the facts that show that.

Agricola was never convicted for doping and he was actually acquitted . The players never admitted to anything and the statute of limitations which is btw not a proof of guilt like some ignorant like to portray, was applied to a different set of accusations. These are the facts, yours are simply a bunch of very inaccurate and badly presented lies.

Going back to my initial question on why you would present them in such a ridiculously blatantly partisan way, your last reply answers very well and confirms that you are not in good faith.
You mention one of the prosecutors experts (that btw incidentally was an ardent Roma fan) as proof of only you know what. Now Mr D'Onofrio was the prosecutor's expert witness in the process that saw Agricola acquitted on appeal which as any first year law student would be able to point out means that the judge considered his theory and the prosecutor's not correct. Incidentally that is the same first year student who would call your claim that the statute of limitation is equivalent to a conviction for what it is, pure ignorant BS.

Lastly even the premise of your post is false as the rest, because Agricola has not been called back at Juve in its sport medicine department but at the Jmedical that is a third party affiliated managed private sport medicine facility that supply services to the public and supports juve players only for the purpose of pre recruitment testing and rehabilitation from injuries and it is separate from the club's medicine team that has not changed.

Why don't England teams start doping considering doping rules are lax in football
english sport professionals and advanced amateurs have nothing to learn neither from Italian nor Spaniards I know it for sure in sports like rugby and I do not expect to be any different in football if we are talking about drug misuse and abuse

There's an incredible amount of evidence that points to his guilt, it just so happens that doping is an extremely difficult thing to prove in a court of law -BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT-. That's why these convictions are so rare.

I can't be bothered digging up the files again to argue with you though - you can believe whatever you like but there are quotes from
Zidane etc that just beggar belief -

Conte admitted: “When we played three matches a week I took Samyr and
we did a drip.”

Samyr is an anti-depressant prescription drug. What else were they taking?

Sorry but how the feck you can argue against this is beyond my belief so I'm done and this is the last post I'm gonna bother replying to you. You keep your head in the sand, mate.

But for what its worth - IV drips are now considered a banned method in sport.

I don't get this - so we should brush it under the carpet because it's scandalous?

What I am saying is that when football and Italy mix, things aren't what they seem. There are layers upon layers of carpets which many (including myself) can't understand and who often hide the real truth. Juventus had attracted the jealousy of most Italians clubs (Inter in particular) who hated the fact that it was able to consistently be good without spending ridiculous amounts of money. Moratti mismanagement meant that he nearly crippled his family fortunes with little to show for it. Because of that, something had to be done.

If you're interested to know more then I'd suggest you read this link. Its written not by a Juventino but by a Milanista and it gives you some insight of what really was going on during that time.

"I have written plenty of unsubstantiated lies but cannot be bothered to find the facts to support them!" well done, that's the way to go. I have explained with facts that you have written a lot of lies and showed you with facts not with quotes out of context and personal opinions :D:D

You just sell BS and also try to take moral high ground while you do deserve only a laugh of contempt for the ridiculously partisan way you misrepresent facts.

You mentioned in first post that Agricola had been condemned: FALSE never happened. Now in your last since you have been found out for BStter you are you say that is difficult to find people guilty. It's not if you have proofs that is.
Many football players have been found out in Italy and abroad, not to mention in other sport. Not a single Juve player was found positive. And in any case Juve was not found guilty even in any sport court where the standard of proof is well below the "Beyond any reasonable doubt" as we know very well since we were robbed of two titles and hundreds of million Euros thanks to the farcical trials of Calciopoli, but that is another story

You mentioned that Juve players confessed to use doping and that is FALSE too. They confirmed they used a number of prescription drugs that at the time were allowed . They never admitted any doping and none of them was charged neither from sport or civil authorities.
If you ask me if they should be allowed my answer is HELL NO but the misuse of some drugs was and is a bad habit of most professional athletes. The exact same treatments were common in many other teams but as it happens often in Italy only Juve was under scrutiny for it. Some of them have since been banned like IV drops but were allowed at the time.

You claim that he escape punishment because of the statute of limitation and that is also not true in general and reveals a poor understanding of the statute of limitation.

Finally you claim Agricola has been rehired by Juventus FC and that is incorrect too because he works for an external affiliated center and he is not part of Juve medical team.

I don't know about anybody else, but I was unconvinced until I saw the way @B&Wandmore has come out swinging, that suggests there's more to this story... clearly Juventus are hiding something even worse! Any ideas?

that is the best summary of that farce known as Calciopoli that I have read to date. There are some that are much longer and documented but the article explains well Inter involvement in that scandal which costed well over the titles they robbed Juve. It costed hundreds of million Euros suffice it to say that before relegation Juve's turnover was very close to Real Madrid, in the following years the gap became enormous and only recently has very slowly been reduced. A very similar story happened with the "doping" accusations when Juve was singled out for the process while all teams in Serie A, B, and C used the same practices with regards to prescription drugs. Practices that were legal at the time although definitely not healthy practices

Well it's Juventus, they've cheated their way to the top since the start of ages, why would anyone be surprised of their doping antics? They were there ones who bribed left and right in order to win back to back Serie As.

Ignorance at it's finest, educate yourself about the facts before talking about anything, statue of limitations saved other teams, when the same wiretapes popped up years later, the other top teams doing the exact same thing, yet only one was punished and got it's image ruined. Love me some justice...
But we are back baby, 6th in a row, won on the pitch, not gifted for second place finishes like other teams received.

It's Juventus.
