Juventus interested in Nemanja Matic

POGBON (even though they are different sort of players, but who cares)

This was written previously in another paper, that said Conte wanted Kante and Naingollan before he was ready to move Matic on. Thing is though, Juventus can sign Matic and say it's a Sturraro replacement (looks likely they'll sell him). So Juve can always brief to make this move unrelated to the Pogba transfer, when in reality it could well be linked.

Would make sense for Chelsea to move him on, Kante has just signed and would be surprised to see them both playing in the same team.

Why aren't we in for him? Last season apart, he is immense.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind him either. Defensively good, good on the ball and is even quite good at dribbling through the middle. Him and Pogba through the middle would be good.

I don't think this would have much bearing on a Pogba departure though. He'd be replacing Khedira and Marchisio's spots who are both injured.

We'd be stupid to sell him unless there's another coming in in addition to Kante.

I thought Pjanic would be the natural Pogba replacement?

Perhaps in name but I'm pretty sure Pjanic is a deeper lying playmaker, who does far better closer to the middle of the pitch.

I thought Pjanic came in for the injured Marchisio?

They're different players. Pjanic is a more creative player like Pogba, while Marchisio tends more towards the defensive end of the pitch.

Pjanic got 10 goals and 12 assists last season, so he'd replace any production they would lose from Pogba in midfield (who got 8 goals and 13 assists last season)

Unstoppable force vs the immovable object this.

Chelsea the club who'd manage to sell fecking Matic for 50 Mil vs Juve, the club who'd buy him for free and make the selling club pay half his wages.
