watching Livershite on the counter, today, was embarrassing...we need pace up front urgently!!!

I don't see how a player would pace would dramatically change things against Pool with 4-5-1. Scholes is going nowhere, and while we need a back-up striker for Ruud, I can't think of many players with blinding pace that would prosper as a lone striker (besides Cisse).

we need players with more power as well I feel the United team is getting a bit lieght weight compared to a few years back.

We didn't use the wings enough.

Denilson is his name.

Watched him again tonight, and the only real way anyone can stop him is by cropping him.

Plays on the left, on the right, with a bit of class next to him instead of those donkeys in the Betis mdifield he'd work wonders. Takes a good free kick too.

I agree, we need a winger with real pace but who?
After seeing Giggsy 2nd half performance we need another option.
For anyone having a go at Scholes remember on Wednesday he wasn't going to play. The problem we have at the moment is that the only attacking option on the bench today was Ole. I don't think Sir Alex wanted Scholes and Giggs to play 90 minutes but with us 1-0 down he had no choice.

If we're getting back to the formation argument. 4-4-1-1 work a treat in Europe but not in the league. We can't change formation every week and so it comes down to priority. Which is more important. The league or Europe and it is blatently obvious which it is. Until we have the personnel to be able to do both we have to choose. I don't think we have enough quality throughout the squad to live with Arsenal over a league season, but we are not far away from it.

How much though?

And again, this would surely mean an exit for Giggs?

He would be the next Diouf. He is very good in Betis or would be in a spanish team, but i think he will be never our man. Too selfish.

Didn't people say Veron would never adapt to the Premiership. All it took was time, if we are going to bring a player from outside the Premiership then we have to be prepared to give them time to settle

Denilson has never had attitude problems. Just passing problems.

All we really need is Cisse, ronaldinho and a defender to put pressure on Rio to become conistent and all will be well.

Cisse would provide the skill and power we need of the bench to help or come on for Ruud while Ronaldinho would offer an extra option for either Giggs, Scholes or Veron. :)

Give the plc 50 million then we have them.

i hope we don't put our eggs in one basket this summer..

i'd like us to go down Ajax's route and by some young players, we've linked up with Sporting, it would be great if we got a couple of their players.

however, the PLC probably dictates that we buy established players..who are might be seen less of a risk.. thoughts?

I think that SAF has more control over it than he ever had before. If he wants some unknowns he'll get them no matter what the PLC thinks. The PLC are only likely to block a mega-bucks signing on monetary reasons.

Is this proposed deal with Sporting on a loan basis? Is it intended to loan in these kids with an option to buy, or is it a straight purchase arrangement?

Need more pace. But I think creativity is more important. I'd like to see more dribbling like what Giggs used to do.

I know of a player by the name of Byland and he'd be perfect for the role

And?

That's only to prevent tapping up, if they are approached and agree to sell, it goes straight out of the window.

Really don't think the hair colour is an issue really and if you had really seen him you would know its black :p
