Are the mods allowed to bust down posters to the Newbie forum? You know, as a kind of Cyber version of Community service.

I seem to remember one Mod doing it to Shah a while back, and now he's toned down his antics, I think it's a brilliant idea and would help keep a tight ship of people saying as many positive things about United as possible.

Can we nominate a poster a week to feed to the Newbies for a few days or so? It would be fun, as long as it's not me. You know when you were young and you liked trapping two spiders in a glass to watch one eat the other?, like that!.

My first nomination is Gillespie.

A selection of those who form the backbone of the community are made Mods, so why not have those who make up the muck at the bottom of the barrell pay the price. It's an excellent idea. Who wouldnt be intrigued to see how long Plechs sanity stays in tact when in contact with the Newbies constant photos of Ronaldo?, or who wouldnt be interested to see how the newbies take to Stan calling them all cnuts?.

It's a good idea in principle, but we'll need some guidelines for who we can nominate. I reckon newbies should be exempt, as they've already served their time (though exceptions could be made).

You couldnt even list realistic reasons as to why i should be regulated...

Looking at the United forum right now it looks like the Newbie forum isnt really doing its job. How about as well as the voting thing, any recent promotie who looks like he is not quite ready to be let out into the first team (sort of a Bellion poster), should be demoted back to the reserves where they can understand more about the team and/or rot in there without annoying anyone.

Good idea, there is another suggestion too.
There should be a MEMBER OF THE WEEK , MONTH and YEAR among the regular members voted by all other regular members. Howzatt ?????

A hacker? Christ, can I just say to Shah:

Why? I have had a virus fairly recently (on my PC before anyone tries to be the funny man) for no bloody reason atall. My bro accepted a file from some bloke on a website, my bro is 12 for feck sake!, and the guy hacked our PC and deleted most of the data in all the program files, I lost college work and everything, what drives people to be that cowardly? Not an attack on you personally like (I say covering my arse) but it really winds me up. Why do people take joy in doing that kind of thingfor no reason atall?
 
mmm could be a good thing this, its got a big brother twist.

Then a poll could be set up where everyone who wants to join in can vote.

Friday could be eviction to the newbie forum then they cant post about the weekend football until the Friday after, thats evil that i love it....

Nominate someone who you think could be interesting in the newbie, and someone who actually posts fairly regularly so we get a bit of action, obviously. Also, someone who is a good sport, it's only a bit of fun afterall :D .

You could enjoy the many delights of the newbie, the current topic at the moment is "I want to be ronaldos underpants". Why, that debate could go on all night.

Because it gives them a sense of power...its quite sad. You just have to watch your back...never download any files with .exe extension, make sure you run a firewall like Zone Alarm (www.zonelabs.com - pm me for the crack so you dont have to pay for it) and keep a virus scanner active at ALL times (unless your playing Championship Manager of course) AVG from www.grisoft.com is a good free one

Nvever underestimate the power of computer saddos. 90% will give up on you when they see you are running these programs. But the 10% that hate you (for whatever reason) will do whatever it takes to piss you off

I remember some fecker in my first year of living in University Halls who thought s/he was a right smart arse sending me messages and stealing my (ahem) hard earned mp3's. So I just went through their hard drive and deleted all his/her pornos (after viewing them, of course) and put a script on their pc which deletes all files less than a day old.

Fun that was.

I dont go looking to piss people off and I removed that file from their pc a day later when I was sure I had taught them a lesson. :D Im not primarily a hacker- I do it as a bit of fun. One guy tried to scan my IP within a range so I got back at him. Found out he was the son of some headmaster at some special needs school. Once I got in I found all these word docs in the name of different people. They were school reports. I pissed myself laughing reading some of them:

'Jack has been a very naughty boy today. He tried to strangle another pupil for no reason and tried to threaten his teacher with a pencil. He will be put in the naughty class for 1 week' etc etc

But yeah, like DJS said - dont upset me :nono: :lol:
