Thanks No shitting here....
A small bit about the bit I wrote -
An 80 year Irish Man comes back to Ireland for his 80th Birthday. On His birthday he decides to walk the 12 miles he walked to school every Sunday. (he went to boarding school and came home every fortnight) He walked it with his 5 brothers for 6 years... (actually a true story as its based on my father and his Uncle)
Films starts with him on Ferry over to Ireland, then wakes up on his Birthday. His Children wish him well and tell him they will see him later. His youngest Brother then comes into Kitchen and local priest bless them as they go off on the walk they would have done 68 years earlier.
You then get flashbacks of incidents they would have had on the road, One being his twin brother dying in an accident, others like fishing, jumping into a canal. Loads of stuff mixed with a modern inpression on society and how Ireland has changed
He then arrives at old school and his other brothers meet him and they walk around the classrooms again recounting old memories and end up at dance hall, where he meets his then wife, and then the School church where he married his wife before taking a ferry and emigrating to Manchester, where he lived all his life thereafter.
It ends with him appearing at the church doors and them opening where he then sees his wife and children at top of alter waiting on him for him to reknew his wedding vows.....
This is just a snippet - but feedback has always been good and think today I made real movement.
