I didn't really enjoy Shaolin Soccer that much to be honest. The football scenes were funny though!

hahahahahahahahahaha Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime Cock! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaah

Most Korean movies have a tragic ending.

Just a heads up.

Yeah i've seen most of Kim Ki Duk's films and they arn't exactly rosey. Oldboy is just a film i wish i had never watched, absolute masterpiece but pretty morbid, as is Sympathy for Mr Vengence.

Decided to go with Paprika over Millenium Actress as well.

There are a lot of Hong Kong films that are great, look for big names and usually they wont' disappoint. Go for the triad themed movies.

One Night in Mongkok is good. Worth buying.

Running out of Time - HK
Exiled - HK
Memories of Murder - Korea
The Good, the Bad, the Weird - Korea
A Bittersweet Life - Korea

Ghost in the Shell 1 is brilliant. Wasn't a huge fan of Ghost in the Shell 2.

I can't help but be spellbinded by how good the animation looks, plus I like the directors approach to making films from interviews i have seen with him.

I also like Avalon which he directed.

Millennium Actress is a good one. Not only is the animation great to look at but the story actually stands up and you almost forget that it's an animated film.

Satoshi Kon is one of my favourite anime directors, check out Paprika by him as well. I'm actually half way through that from last night, coincidentally.

This is pretty good, watched in my Japanese culture class. We saw the new version from 2003-ish.
