I was sat here reading the posts in this section and one thing occured to me.
What happens if Sir Alex doesn't sign anyone in January. I know he was looking at a few players. Escude being the obvious one.
But there is the possibilty that he might not buy anyone.

I think that if he won't sign anyone in January we won't have any new players.
I can be wrong tho...

This is a strong possibility, there is nothing to say that we will be wiling to pay the asking price for Escude now if we wouldnt last month, plus there is a chance that nay new players we want will be cup tied for the Cl any way so we might not buy a striker either.

A very real possibility. In fact, I believe it's more probable than possible.

New signings will be next summer and I predict two defenders and a striker will be bought then.

I think that it will depend directly upon our performance... if we're doing great, I think that SAF will wait for next season to get either Cisse or Ronaldinho. :)

But what if we are doing great and a player like Ronaldinho is available to the right price? Surely United should try to get him to give an extra boost to the team.
If we are doing great, that means Ruud Van Nistelrooy hasn't been out injured - but there is always that possibility that he will suffer at some stage in the season - and United will suffer if he does.

i agree that we need atleast one more player but the reason i started this was to see if anyone though Sir Alex had blown his load signing Rio. Guess there are a few who agree with me.
