Jordan Rhodes

More chance that if Scholes was there, that he was watching our own Norwood and checking on his progress.

Why would we need another striker we have about 10 on the books already.

Nice move by Roy Keane letting him leave Ipswich for absolute peanuts.

I know the mackems' head scout was watching him in person at the weekend. I'd imagine there's a few teams would be looking at him but Manchester United quality? Doubt it.

I agree with the theory that Scholes was there to see Norwood.
Jordan Rhodes is a fairly talented striker, but he's not got either outstanding physical attributes or the technique required to play up front for United. Even at League One he blows a little bit hot and cold in terms of goalscoring.

Huddersfield are my second team since its my home town, so I do see and hear quite a bit about the lad.
Get a feeling he'd have a similar impact at premier league level to the last Huddersfield Town striker to go straight there- Jon Stead- might nick one or two but not good enough at the moment to do it consistently.

Going to Blackburn for £4.5 million. Possibly £8 million. Uhm.

Blackburn have brought in some decent players. Nuno Gomes, Kazim Richards, Leon Best, Danny Murphy plus they still have the core of the team from last season. Should come straight back up, even under the ownership of them clowns.

Not to mention Steve Keans inefficiency as a football manager.

Great deal for Huddersfield.

Not when they don't (as yet) have a replacement lined up... If they're going to rely on Lee sodding Novak and Alan Lee for goals, well, it's going to be a long season in the Championship.

Maybe should have aimed for such players last season than now.

Instead of Ronaldinho, Beckham and those

£8 million goes a long way to keeping a club like Huddersfield going, replacement or not.

The owner is worth a couple of hundred million if I'm not mistaken. £8 million is a great price for the player, but Dean Hoyle would have preferred that Rhodes stayed and scored the goals to keep them from relegation.
