Jonny Wilkinson

yup, best thing about him is that he is a perfectionist.

One of the reasons why we won the World Cup was because we had so many perfectionists in our team, from Clive to Johnson to Wilko to Leanard.

Wilko was right when he talked about putting it in perspective, Scotland are not Ireland or France, if we beat these two then we can start looking ahead with confidence.

He scored 27 points and try (I know it should have not been given) he ran a lot of the game good vision and good passing. People are saying that England fans are overeating but it his first game for England for 3 and a half years, 40 mins of rugby for 4 months and with all the injuries he has had great come back game.

On his day do you all think he is better then Dan Carter? At the moment Carter is obviously better he is just the world greatest player saying that I think I could play well in that all blacks team.

Well put it this way, Wilko is worth 20 points a game for England, Something which the other number 10s (cough Hodgson cough) are not.

Nah,even on his best I dont think Wilkinson is on par with Dan Carter.Carter's vision is just phenomenal and he seriously runs a game for the All Blacks.

That being said though I think that Carlos Spencer in his prime was better than Dan Carter.The Ronaldinho of rugby.Beautiful rugby if you will.

Any ideas where I can get the England game on torrent??Would like to watch it.
 
Johnny Wilkinson is the greatest half back the world has ever seen. Dan Carter is not in the same league.

I don't agree with that, but Wilko is the best this side of the World.
 
Carter has great hands and he’s as slippery as an eal.
But halfback is more then just skill. Johnny’s decision-making and tactical awareness is 2nd to none. He doesn’t make bad decisions. I can’t remember a single one. Carter still does. Wilkinson has brought a new dimension to Rugby. And there has never been a better kicker. If not quite, Wilkinson almost won the WC single-handed.
 
However, it won’t make the slightest difference cos The All Blacks are going to win the world cup. Even if their players have to play with their hands tied behind their backs. They are so much better then the rest.

Isn`t that what is said before every WC? The All Blacks will probably choke in the semis. Dunno against who(maybe an inspired France) but it`s what they do!(and that`s what I hope)

Have to disagree I think they about level if not Jonny better because as I said just look at that all blacks team it is next to unstoppable I would look world class in that team and I am shit at rugby

The All Blacks is not just about Dan Carter though.They work very well as a unit.Mauger is really coming on as an inside centre.And in the wings they have one of the best,if not the best wingers in Rokocoko and Rico Gear.And they still have Sivivatu and Howlett,who are excellent wingers themselves to call up should the need arises.Cohen against Sivivatu would be a sight to behold,both strong wingers.Kelleher and Weepu has proven to be very capable replacement for Justin Marshall.McCaw and ******s is a very good partnership as well,so is Ali Williams and Chris Jack.And in Luke McCallister,they have the splitting image of King Carlos Spencer.the All Blacks just oozes quality everywhere.

Gotta agree though that they always fall short in the world cup no thanks to the Frenchies wingers discovery that Lomu was slow on the turn in 99 and Stirling Mortlock's excellent performance in 2003.But if recent form is anything to go by,the cup should be theirs.

Is Matthew Tait still in the England setup?Remember him being hyped up during the last 6 nations and saw him play against Wales.Looked good but was caught by a bone crunching tackle by Gavin Henson in the same game and never heard of him since.
