Anyone a fan?
His programmes were put on at the oddest times by BBC, so I think a lot of people may have missed out on his work first time around. However, some kind soul has uploaded most of his documentary work to youtube.
Two of my favourite pieces by him are Jerry Building: Unholy Relics of the Third Reich and Joe Building (same deal as Jerry Building except he examines Stalin-era architecture)
Joe Building is actually the better of the two, but it's in 8 parts and I can't be arsed sticking them all up. Meades has also done a bunch of documentaries about food, art, culture and geography. As I said, most of it's on youtube and it's well worth a look.
