Glazer get to a after drink brawl with Shittu, bot
You guys remember him ? ... he was one of the prospect frm Chelsea 2 seasons ago ..even forced into England team once when I think Peter Taylor was choosing all the young players for a friendly .. He's very talented IMO - and naturally left-sided player... Important thing for me to mention him here is :
- Obviously English .. and I have said it, for our bread and butter of Premier League games, we really need the fighting spirit like this who can give us some competitiveness.
- He want to leave Fulham, and he won't be X ... Think he went there for 2mil - we should be able to get a bargain
- He even play in left-midfield some occasions while in Chelsea, versatility is one that we needed.

But of course - if Fergie is very sure of getting Escude in the near future then I think this position will be left emptied for now at least ... But I do reckon he is a good player ( with the price tag we can get him - be very realistic here and I would think we should start discussing abt "realistic target" ... no more Rivaldo/Scvchenko type of stuff )

Come off it, let's see - Not good enough for Chelsea, not good enough for Fulham - good enough for OT..?

A more realistic target would be Trevor Sinclair (right sided but CAN play on the left)

I am not so sure why he's suddenly out of Chelsea squard then frankly speaking ... it was like he's really having a lot of praise from all over and then suddenly he don't get to play anymore ...

And when he moved to Fulham I thouhght he will be able to resurrect his career but nehhh .. Could have some real problem there which we don know - nevermind ... just my personal opinion. It's the same as nobody else agree with Christie and Rebrov .. just personal opinion ..

Right. Well apart from the lingering feeling that Penny speaks English as a second language, I have something to point out.
Silvestre's contract is up in the summer. Silvestre wants the ludicrous sum of £40k per week. Phil Neville is, and always will be, crap, and has moaned about not starting already this season.
Escude and Harley would be a useful couple of signings.

Come off it, let's see - Not good enough for Chelsea, not good enough for Fulham - good enough for OT..?

To be fair, why was he sold from Chelsea? He was at least as good as Le Saux, and more consistant than Babyaroo. He could play on the left side of midfield, and was a young Englishman. He was sold because the established players pushed him out, not because he was worse than them.
As for not good enough for Fulham, he's had a hard time recently, and lost his place, but if you look back to the Fulham of last year, the one with the tremendous defensive record, you'll see a certain Jon Harley putting in regular high-quality performances.
At £2 million, he'd be a steal.

That's a solid analysis there mikhail ... including that absolutely right claims of me speaking English as 2nd language - English is never my strong one ...

One important point of me mentioning Harley - yes 'cos he's ENGLISH ... and I certainly feel that we are very short of that English mentality in games which we should have bite our teeth and hold on or push up better ... We haven't done that at all this season ... That mentality of treating a Premier League game VERY SERIOUSLY is just not there for me ... I certainly can't conclude everything but I do sense that we need quality English players around ... who have followed the league since young and will HATE to lose any single games played ..

Don't you think it'd be better going for Bridge if you want a young, English, left sided defender?

Sure he would cost more, but you get what you pay for in that case IMO.

BTW Penny where are you from? You certainly wouldn't know English was a 2nd language for you. Tiny Island = where?

;)

I have to admit that I speak NO ENGLISH at home ... that probably drops some hint if you see grammar mistakes in my postings all over
For me posting here is just fun - and great to know all those around ... but when the day come I need to phrase all my English sentences nicely then that will means the fun is gone :D

Bridge .. mmm. ... Marvellous player I would say .. but let me estimate - 10mil !! the least ... I really hate to see us signing anymore expensive players ... Look at what we have from Rio - I am not saying he's absolutely lousy - but there he goes, another injury and should be out for another while ... If we have a 30mil machine only serving us half of a season - then I think the $ is not being spend adequately .. I hate to say this - why ain't Hyppia go injured for >2 matches continuous ?? I have never seen it happen ... :p

Harley was looking like a top young player a few years back, its started to go pearshaped for him lately though, im not convinced but he is another player I wouldnt complain about signing, Bridge is the pref option but i dont know the fee would be like? im guessing expensive!
