Just about to watch it and transport myself back in time.

I can't remember much of it, but it was pretty ridiculous, and I watched it young so I think I enjoyed it.

I wonder what the next two hours will bring.

i watched this when it first came out and thought it was great, but a couple of years ago i got it on dvd and didnt think it aged that well at all
 
And of course a Dolphin wired up in a fish tank, is a codebreaker, residing in the broken ruins of a bridge, now named Heaven. Of course.
 
I started reading my first William Gibson book recently, Neuromancer, and it's brilliant. What a writer he is.

Heard they're going to adapt Neuromancer to screen this year, hopefully it goes better than Johnny Mnemonic did.

"Johnny Mnemonic" is a data trafficker who has undergone cybernetic surgery to have a data storage system implanted in his head. The system allows him to store digital data too sensitive to risk transmission on computer networks. To keep the cargo secure, the data is locked by a password known only to the intended recipient. Johnny enters a trance-like state while the data is being transferred or the passwords are being exchanged, making him unaware of the contents and unable to retrieve it.

I remember this film and thought at the time it was ok. Now though that we are 'in the future' it makes you think just how far off we are from being able to direct download to our brains! Think of the possibilities.
