I must have heard about 5-6 different versions of redemption song by various artists including the above and stevie wonder.
I have to say as interesting as they were I still question the point of covering a song which is so inextricably linked with its creator that anybody else singing it other than him runs the risk of sounding a lttle awkward or silly in terms delivery.
Love will tear us appart is another example of a song like this. I did love Cash's cover of Hurt though so I can forgive him almost anything.
