John Terry is eager to leave Chelsea and Valencia have seized the opportunity, already tabling an offer for the former England skipper, FIFA-accredited agent Francois Gallardo has told Radio Intereconomia.

Terry has been fined and banned for four matches by the FA after being found guilty of racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand last year. Agents have subsequently pounced to move the defender away from Stamford Bridge, and Gallardo claims he is in the midst of finalising a deal which would see Terry move to La Liga in the winter.

"Valencia are negotiating, and I am involved in person, with the signing in the winter transfer market," Gallardo told Radio Intereconomia.

"The offer is on his table. The player is out of contract in June and will not renew there for several reasons at Chelsea and he wants to come to Spain."

The deal is reportedly for 18 months with an option to extend for a further year. Terry, 31, is in his 15th season with Chelsea, but Gallardo says the recent controversy has forced the defender to prefer to play out his career abroad.

"Terry has problems," said Gallardo. "They are insulting him and he is not taking it anymore. He asked to leave, not us.

"It's real. This has been going on for 15 days and two meetings have already took place. The deal is already on his table - a year and a half plus one. I think he will accept."

If true then that's the 2nd bad apple to leave England in a year!

Does this mean Terry will celebrate Valencia's league titles of 2002 & 2004 as though he played a big part in them?

Valencia won't be able to afford Terry's wages. He'll go to PSG, I reckon.

I'd rather he went to play in Somalia.

"Terry has problems," said Gallardo. "They are insulting him and he is not taking it anymore"

They're insulting him?! He should move to Liverpool with that victim complex!

I could've seen him at PSG given his wages, but they're pretty stocked at that position, wouldn't make much sense. Sakho and Silva are the starting CBs, and they have Alex and Lugano as back up. Not that Lugano ever plays. But realistically, if Terry went there, I think it would only be as 3rd or 4th choice.

Anzhi?

Valencia, I don't understand. They don't have any money and spend their time selling their best players for discounted prices. How could they afford his wages?

He'll blend in easily with ex-pat culture, no doubt:

"Oi, Manuel - dos paella n' chips, por favor pronto! Bloody foreigners..."

"Terry has problems," said Gallardo. "They are insulting him and he is not taking it anymore. He asked to leave, not us.

Diddums. Poor John. Have to feel for him as no one likes a bully boy.

Since when has Terry been bothered by crowd chants? He usually plays better when he's getting slagged off...

@Tomalonge
 Hilarious.

This transfer would surprise me. I'm sure PSG or some team in the MLS would pay top whack for him.
MLS sounds plausible. As for PSG I don't really understand why an ambitious club would spend a decent amount of their wage budged on a CB who has his best years behind him. There surely must be better options out there for a club with seemingly endless transfer resources. I'd love to see how Terry would get along with Zlatan though...

With his bitch Cashley on the way out Malouda too and influential figures like Lampard not having long left, I wonder if his hold on the dressing room has faded.

Must have picked Valencia out of a hat or something because this is a strange one. Firstly as mentioned the wages on offer at Valencia would be paltry compared to other teams. Secondly Valencia are a club that havent really prioritised out and out defending for quite a while. When they sign CBs they tend to go for players who are gifted on the ball

I can see this happening, I'd imagine he's all but an outcast in English football now.

Read this few days back but Chelsea have already denied the story.

I won't be surprised to see Chelsea release him at the end of season. With his contract coming to an end it makes very little sense to renew it as he's got a bad reputation and doesn't really offer that much on the pitch these days. He'll leave England if he goes because I cannot see any PL teams willing to take him.

I think with the internal punishment from Chelsea coupled with Terry's massive decline means he'll leave at the end of the season. Hopefully it's abroad and hopefully he'll fade into obscurity. Detestable individual.
