John Grisham and Andy McNab

I read a few McNab books when I was in school, can't remember much about them to be honest but seem to recall enjoying them.

John Grisham is excellent. He has loads of good stuff, The Firm, The Brethren, The Pelican Brief, The King of Torts etc basically any of them. Never read any of Andy McNab.

So what exactly are you trying to say? I've seen a film called the Pelican Brief which was a brilliant film, I'm assuming it's based on the book?

Most people's recollections aren't very accurate.

I'm saying you should buy some of his books. I'd say he has atleast 8 or 9 books that have been turned into films. If you are buying a few books get Deal Breaker by Harlan Coben. It's the first in the series of novels based on a character called Myron Bolitar and it is class. Also look into a Lee Childs book with Jack Reacher in it so you can see how much better he is than Bauer.

Andy McNab's Bravo Two Zero was excellent, partly because it was real. Much of his other stuff is co-written or ghost written.

Either way, I'd suggest Tom Clancy over both.

john grisham is pretty solid. his stories usually involve the law process in some way, if you're interested in that.

Very nearly suggested this myself, Rainbow Six is a bloody marvellous read.

I'm not most people Elvis, you should know this by now.

True. Give Bex my regards.

I'm getting 1984 this week, I just wanted a couple of others to read aswell. Currently getting through King Beyond the Gate by David Gemmell, albeit only slowly.

I'll look into Coben and Child's, though no-one will be better than Bauer so I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

I like Tom Clancy games, but you failed to mention any of his books. For shame Adam, for shame. Hang your head.

I shall, she'll be disappointed the beard has gone. Buy season 2, I want to get the rest off my shelf!

Rainbow Six, The Hunt for Red October, Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games, Sum of All Fears, The Bear and The Dragon. All good ones I can remember reading.

That one's a beast of a book. Makes a great door stop after you've finished it.

Plus scarily its acurate with the description of Chinese abortion techniques they used to use. "Hyper War is go!!" Prefered Red Storm Rising myself.

The shame upon me is harrowing. In a futile attempt at redemption I present you with the following choices:

The Hunt For Red October, Rainbow Six, The Bear and the Dragon, theres another big one I've read but forgotten it's name. Two infact, err. The one in the jungle and the Sum of All Fears.
