Joe Dudgeon to Carlisle on loan - now probably Hull (perm)

It was interesting to see him deployed in midfield against Wigan res. I've only seen G2's highlights, but he seemed pretty comfy. How long is he at Carlisle for? Hopefully, he'll be able to make himself interesting for a few Championship managers ahead of next season.

Dudgeon seals Hull move
United can confirm that Joe Dudgeon has completed his proposed move to Hull City.

The 20-year-old full-back has left the Reds for an undisclosed fee after agreeing a three-year contract with his new club.

All the paperwork has now been completed for the deal to be processed.

Although injury curtailed a loan spell with Carlisle, the Leeds-born defender has impressed at reserve-team level and will link up with former colleagues James Chester, Cameron Stewart and Corry Evans at the KC Stadium.

Dudgeon is in the frame to win the Reserve Player of the Year, along with Oliver Gill and Scott Wootton, with the result due to be announced on ManUtd.com next Wednesday.

We wish Joe all the best in his future career and it will be fascinating to see how Nigel Pearson's Tigers fare next season with so many ex-Reds on show
.

Should be a good move for him

Can't remember a bad game from the lad when I have seen him for the reserves, maybe it is because he always puts a shift in. He has a determination about him that will do him well in the Championship.

Good Luck to him.

Just might turn out to be best of the ex-United lot at Hull imo. He's rightly praised for his determination, but, as he proved when used on the wing for the ressies, he can play a bit too. Wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the Premiership some day. But then that's what I said about Eckersley Jr.
