I thought it could be a good time to open a discussion for the Jimmy Murphy Academy Player and Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Season awards.

In my opinion there's only a couple of options for the DH award, whereas half of the U18s squad could be named as the JM Academy Player of the Season.

My personal nominees and picks...

DH: Jack Moorhouse, Sam Mather, Ethan Ennis

JM:
Jack Fletcher, Jaydan Kamason, Tyler Fletcher, Reece Munro, Daniel Armer, Jim Thwaites, Jacob Devaney, Chido Obi, Amir Ibragimov, Gabriele Biancheri, James Scanlon

I am aware that the second list looks ridiculously long, but personally I wouldn't have an issue with any of the mentioned players getting rewarded for a fine individual (and collective) season. The run-in could of course result in a couple of players dropping out (and maybe a couple of U21s players getting a mention for the DH), but it will be tough for the club to narrow it down to one regardless.

Scanlon for me should be a strong candidate for the Jimmy Murphy. Guy has really come on in the last 12 months, has really put in the work and output even if he;s not one of the stylish names.

Haven't really seen as much of the U21s but would lean towards Moorhouse.
U18 field is definitely more packed though can see the arguments for 4-6 different players

I'd go Ennis and Scanlon

I wouldnt personally have him top 3, but Amass playing the most mins for the u21s gives me the feeling he might be one of the favourites for JM

Obi would win the academy one imo, tough for Kamason and Scanlon but his first team involvement would give him an edge.

Moorhouse for the U21s. Or Jack Fletcher.

Weird looking through that list and seeing no one that has won both.

Players winning the JImmy Murphy award definitely seems to have good chance of making it.

Denzel Haroun I'm leaning more towards 1. Ennis 2. Amass 3. Moorhouse

Jimmy Murphy winner would be - Jim Thwaites, I think he has taken a lot of responsibility this season and delivered consistently solid performances.
2. Chido only no.2 because he's not played as much for the u18s, impact wise he is no.1
3. Honestly this could be like 5-6 players, they've all had strong impact - Kamason, Gab, Amir, Tyler, Scanlon.

Rossi, Tuanzebe, and Chong all won both.

I think this year it’ll be Kamason and Obi or one of the Fletchers. In recent years they’ve almost ignored the u18s and u21s separation so I imagine will again.
Ah cheers missed that whilst looking through.

Yeah, I was looking at that.

Plenty of winners of the Jimmy Murphy award have established themselves with the first team. Of the Denzil Haroun award winners, it's only really Butt, O'Shea and Fletcher.

I guess it's a sign that if you do progress up to the U21's and spend a decent enough time in there (to win the reward) you're less likely to make the step up to the first team as those who virtually skip the U21's.

Though plenty of those have still gone on to have a good career elsewhere, even establishing themselves in the PL.

Shaping up to be another good year for our young Reds.

A lot of good performers this season. But unlike previous seasons I can't really single out a couple of players who have been head and shoulders above the rest..

Off the top of my head names who would be deserving a nomination for the awards are Ennis. Scalon, Amass, Mantato, Kamason, Moorhouse, Fletcher, Thwaites
