Television Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action (Netflix)

I started watching the Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action documentary on Netflix last night and it didn't disappoint.

Watching the show during the late 90's as a teenager in the UK, I always remembered the chanting audiences, the bizarre story lines and that famous Jerry Springer sign off; but the documentary really goes into the behind the scenes of how the programme was put together with a mission to beating Oprah Winfrey as the number one talk show in the USA.

So far, it's really enjoyable.

In part 1 of the documentary they covered a show that they were on, but I'm sure there's a list somewhere online of who appeared on what show.

America is a large place full of loons.

Even half of the WWE fakery turned out to just be slightly dialed up mimicking of whatever crazy shit Vince was getting up to in real life.

Same format yes. American politicians are more insane now than whatever Springer managed to wrangle.

I finished the 2nd episode today and it was absolutely fascinating about how a show was put together by the producers, but equally I'm sure that we haven't been told everything and there's plenty more things yet to be unearthed, especially the way some issues were dodged - I shan't go into detail for those who haven't watched.

First episode was good. 2nd not so much. Doc felt honest and there was some real insight from the producers but I expected more after the first episode.
