Just finished downloading and watching the first season. Was pretty good, I've always been interested to know what would happen should a country like the US be hit with several nuclear bombs.

Anyone else watch this show?
 
I'd like to. If channel ten didn't treat their viewers like utter cnuts that is.
 
I am going to watch this show when I have some spare time. A friend of mine has been telling me about an animated film called 'When the Wind Blows' and another movie called 'Threads,' both of which examine a nuclear attack scenario during the cold war. My mate stumbled upon these films whilst searching the internet so you should also be able to find streams for both of these films if you're interested.

It's good show but IMO could have been much better. They didn't do full justice to the great concept. It has been barely renewed for 2nd season BTW, and may not make it beyong 8 epis, would be a real shame.

When The Winds Blows was an anti-nuclear war comic book which was turned into an animated film. I seem to remember the film wasn't as good as the orginal comic for some reason - I could well be wrong. A very black comedic look at what a nuclear war would have meant for most of us.

Threads (if my memory serves me correctly) was a low budget film either made for or at least used extensively by CND in the 80's. It was set in Sheffield and aimed to show the results of a nuclear war.

The show had great ratings until it took a 3 month hiatus, which is an amazingly stupid thing for shows to do. Lost is the worst.....
 
Here in Oz they showed the forst half of the series at the same time as they did in the US. They then started to show the second half in June only to take it off again after 1 episode. feckwits
 
I just sent an abusive fax to Channel Ten. Unbelievably this is the only way to complain because they refuse to give an email address. Cnuts.
