Many here wanted this CB because they thought it would be a cheap deal for a good player.

Turns out big Jim couldn’t sign a player he already owned. Who knew?

So he rocked up at West Ham on loan.

14 games in, what’s your opinion on this player?

A couple of times I’ve watched West Ham and he’s been a car wreck. But then again so were the rest of the team.

25 already, is this his level? Did we dodge a bullet?

Don't think he's been very good for them, but like you say, West Ham in general have been pretty poor for the majority of games and Mavro his partner isn't much good.

Still early days for him - and he could turn into a good signing but he would have been ripped to shreds if he had joined United. This is why you don't listen to the caf most of the time.

He's been bobbins, from what I can gather. But, then again, West Ham have been awful in general, so that could be making him look worse.

He was always very average, never understood why so many were stressing about him in the summer. You definitely dodged a bullet.

West Ham as a whole look terrible, so it's quite hard to judge properly.

I suppose you could say the same about alot of our players right now aswell.

It's still early days for him, he has only started six league matches. I'm hopeful he will look the part when he gets more games.

West Ham are very open when teams attack so he often doesn't get much protection.

He's aggressive which is good but at times I think he looks a little clumsy on the ball.

To answer your question, I don't think he would have been the answer at United, but I think De Ligt would probably look as bad if not worse playing at West Ham.

Don't really follow transfer speculation, this is the first time I'm seeing we wanted him, and that he has anything to with Nice/a big Jim club.

Watched a fair bit of West Ham this season (the first I'd ever heard of him) and he's been crap.

I've barely watched West Ham this season.

I watched two or three of Todibo's games for Nice last season though.

I didn't like his positioning off the ball and dizzy-like defending.

The last game of the season against Lille he was awful.

Was all over the place in that game which finished 2-2.

iirc he was hauled off in the second half

He reminded me of Mikael Silvestre in his early years at United.

Looks like we dodged a bullet here, not that Yoro has been much better but he is only 19.

What’s hysterical is that SJR went on interview saying one of his great players at Nice wanted to come to United and it was unfair UEFA would not allow the transfer, he really doesn’t have a clue and nor does Brailsford and neither of them should be anywhere near any Manchester United Footballing decisions?

He’s not going to scout players, or decide who his clubs sign. But he will have the inside track on all the potential transfers at the clubs INEOS own, for obvious reasons.

Absolutely. In retrospect, I’m happy that we managed to snatch Yoro from underneath the noses of Real Madrid and didn’t sign Todibo. We of course also managed to get de Ligt for a decent piece of money, and he hasn’t been disastrous.

He's pretty mediocre in a back 4.

Might work in a 3 where his lack of concentration might get covered up.
